CONDITION TEXT
CONDITION OF STRUCTURE
This inspection requested by Eva Plajzer city engineer regarding recommendations from
Simon Wong Engineering dated July 30, 2007.
There are soffit cracks with light efflorescence at various locations in all the spans.
There are 3-5 minor vertical cracks at the face of the girders in span # 1 and # 5.
There are spalls at the following locations:
Bent cap #4 at easterly end (300mm x 1000mm x 50mm) with exposed rebar.
Span #1 at the westerly overhang (300mm x 100mm x 50mm) with rebars exposed.
Column #5 of bent #3 (300mm x 100mm x 50mm) at the bottom.
Soffit of span #1 bay #3, 2 small spalls (150mm x 200mm x 15mm) with rebars exposed.
There are spalls (100mm x 100mm x 20mm average) and cracks in the most of concrete rail
balusters.
Over all the bridge is appeared to be in good condition.
