A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA TO
APPROVE THE APPROPRIATION OF $500,000 IN
REDEVELOPMENT LOW AND MODERATE INCOME
HOUSING PROJECT KNOWN AS THE LAUREL TREE
APARTMENTS PROJECT AND TO SUPPORT AN
APPLICATION BY THE MAAC PROJECT FOR HOME FUNDS
FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
HOUSING SET-ASIDE FUNDS FOR AN AFFORDABLE
WHEREAS,the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Carlsbad, hereinaft
to as "Agency",is a Community Redevelopment Agency organized and existing under the
Redevelopment Law, Health and Safetv Code Section 33000, et.seq., hereinafter referre
" Act " ; and
WHEREAS, the Agency is authorized to implement the Redevelopment 1
Carlsbad Village Redevelopment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, Section 33334.2 of the Act requires that not less than twe
(20%) of all taxes which are allocated to the Agency be used for purposes of inc
improving the community's supply of low and moderate income housing; and
W€E!REAS,pursuant to Section 33334.2(g) of the Act, the Agency m:
