RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DETERMINING THE
GENERAL PREVAILING RATES OF HOURLY WAGES
FOR EXECUTION OF THE CONTRACT FOR TRANS-
MISSION MAIN IN ALGA ROAD FOR THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT has authorized and will in the immediate future
invite sealed proposals for public work for Transmission Main in
Alga Road in and for the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. It is found, determined and resolved in accordance
with Chapter 1, Part 7, Division 2 of the California Labor Code
(commencing Section 1721) that the general prevailing rate of
hourly wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and
overtime work in the locality in which said public work is to be
performed for each craft, classification, or type of workman
needed to execute the contract for said public work as follows:

2. FOREMEN: All foremen not herein separately
classified shall be paid 306 more than the hourly rate of the
highest classification over which he has supervision. APPRENTICES
may be employed in conformity with Section 1777.5 of the California
Labor Code.
3. WELDERS: Same wage scale as craft to which welding
is incidental (except as otherwise separately classified).
4. OVERTIME AND HOLIDAYS WORKS: Not less than 1-1/2
times the above prevailing rates of wages shall be paid for
overtime work and for work on the following legal holidays: All
Sundays, January 1, May 30, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and
December 25, with a modification as to the enumerated holidays set
forth as provided in Section 6701 of the Government code.
5. It shall be mandatory on the Contractor to whom the
Contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay
not less than the specified rate to all laborers, workmen, and
mechanics employed by them in theperformance of the Contract.
6. The preceding determined rates of wages are
applicable only to work done under the contract for Transmission
Main in Alga Road for Carlsbad Municipal Water District and do
not apply to any work under contract ordered prior to the date
of this resolution. - --
