INTENT: It is the intent of these criteria to establish general stand- ards for design and fabrication of identification siqnage for tenants of WEST BLUFF PLAZA. Although signage is not manda- tory, it is highly recommended to maintain the overall appear-
ance of the buildinqs and to define each tenant's place of bus-
iness to the public.
It should be understood that these criteria are not intended to
restrict the tenant's right to attract business through adver-
tising. The intent here is to guarantee a pleasant, professional
environment for the tenants and the public.
Any alteration to these criteria will require the approval of
the City of Carlsbad Planning Director.
SIGN AREA:
The City of Carlsbad has determined the maximum square footage
allowable for signage at West Bluff Plaza on a per building basis: Building A: 455 sq. ft.
Building B: 180 sq. ft.
Building C: 140 sq. ft. (2 stories)
Building D: 450 sq. ft. (2 stories)
Building E: 225 sq. ft. (bank)
Total Area 1,450 sq. ft.
To conform to these allowances, the area of each Type 1 sign
is limited to 1.5 square foot per linear foot of tenant store-
front.

Signs may be located as shown on Exhibit A (6/25/96), and as
