CALL TO ORDER: Chairperson Stripe called the Regular Meeting to order at 1:17 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Chairperson Stripe, Board Members Hughes, Gray, Canepa, Chapin, Rauch
CONSENT CALENDAR:
(C) Ill. APPROVE MINUTES OF OCTOBER 14, 2020
Motion by Board Member Rauch, seconded by Board Member Chapin, to approve the minutes of the October
14, 2020 meeting as presented. Motion carried 6-0.
REPORTS AND DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1. Staff Report:
a.Financial Update — Cheryl Gerhardt
b.CTBID Subcommittee Update: Motion by Board Member Hughes, seconded by Board Member Rauch
to create a Budget Subcommittee to include: Board Members Stripe, Gray, and Canepa. Motion
carried 6-0.
2. AB 1-21-198 Appointments to the Visit Carlsbad Board
Motion by Board Member Canepa, seconded by Board Member Chapin to approve appointments Julie
Zahner and Nika Jalali to the Visit Carlsbad Board. Motion carried 5-0-1 with Chairperson Stripe
abstained.
3. AB 1-21-199 Visit Carlsbad Quarterly Reports
Received report from Visit Carlsbad's Mark Rudyk for quarter ending 12-31-20.
4. Next Meeting
a) 2021-22 Budget Discussion.
NEXT MEETING
a) April 14, 2021 at 1 PM. Motion by Board Member Rauch, seconded by Board Member Gray. Motion
carried 6-0.

None.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Mark Rudyk will present financial forecast for next year at next meeting.
