This is OK with me. It need specific Redev. approval prior to issuance though. Tris permit does
not include and re-connect or re-wire or plumbing. Please ask the apllicant to write that on the
plan.

The existing storage/bathroom buildings in the center of the Jark
are an enormous problem. The floors are lower than the surrpunqing
ground, and the current drainage of the park flows back in o them
causing floods and standing water a great portion of th y~ar.
Existing electric, telephone, cable and gas services are ou dated,
and located overhead on the existing roof structure, ausing
additional safety issues. ·
The initial approach was to raise the floors and renov te ',the
existing buildings, however this has proven too costly. Thefefqre,
we intend to remove all but the laundry room a~d ,one
storage/bathroom building, replace the existing utility s1rvii.·ces with new up-to-date, in-ground services, regrade to assure proper
drainage, resurface, and relandscape, including the axieas
previously occupied by the storage/bathroom buildings. ,

The Housin~ and Redevelopment Department has reviewed the request by North
County Engineering & Surveying, Inc. to demolish the existing
storage/bathroom building (excluding the laundry room and one storage/
bathroom building) at the Carlsbad Trailer Park located at 2631 Roosevelt
Street and replace the existing utility lines, resurface and relandscape.
Housing and Redevelopment finds the demolition, resurfacing and
relandscapin~ plans to be acceptable. We have no objections to the issuance
of a demolition permit for the activities noted in the request dated May 18, 1995.
A separate letter will be forwarded to the propertr owner indicating that
any plans to construct any new or additional buildings on the site, add
spaces or convert the park to another use will require additional approval
by the Housing and Redevelopment Department.
If you need any additional information from the Housing and Redevelopment
