The testing shall be performed prior to any construction. Recommendations shall be provided to the Landscape Architect and the project owner priot to any construction. CTA hos taken care to research applicable codes and requirements in preparing these drawings and is not responsible for changes to such occurring after agency approval or during installation. As requested by the Client, CTA will visit the site at intervals appropriate to the stage of construction to review the progress and quality of work and to determine in general if the work is being performed in a manner indicating that the work, when completed, will be in substantial conformance with the construction documents. THE SLEEVE SHALL EXTEND IO FEET FROM EACH SIDE, FROM THE GENTER LINE OF POTABLE LINE, FOR A TOTAL OF 20 FEET. 4. MONITOR AND MAINTAIN THE SYSTEM TO MINIMIZE EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL FAILURE. BROKEN SPRINKLER HEADS, LEAKS, UNRELIABLE VALVES, ETC. SHOULD BE REPAIRED AS SOON AS THEY BECOME APPARENT. RECYCLED WATER IS USED FOR CONSTRUCTION). AN APPROVED LETTER REGARDING THE INSPECTION OF THE PROJECT SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE CITY AND THE DISTRICT, AND BE FORWARDED TO THE SAN DIEGO COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PRIOR TO FINAL INSPECTION APPROVAL. 2. A 10 FOOT HORIZONTAL SEPERATION BETWEEN POTABLE WATER AND RECYCLED WATER MAINS MUST BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES. THE POTABLE LINES MUST BE INSTALLED ABOVE THE RECYCLED LINE. 18. A MINIMUM OF 12 INCHES OF VERTICAL SEPERATION BETWEEN UTILITIES MUST BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES. 5. EDUCATE ALL MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ON A CONTINUOUS BASIS OF THE PRESENCE OF RECYCLED WATER. PERSONNEL MUST BE INFORMED THAT RECYCLED WATER IS MEANT FOR IRRIGATION PURPOSES ONLY, AND IS NOT APPROVED FOR DRINKING PURPOSES. HAND WASHING, CLEANING OF TOOL, ETC. GIVEN THE HIGH TURNOVER RATE OF EMPLOYEES IN THE LANDSCAPE INDUSTRY, IT IS IMPORTANT THIS INFORMATION BE DISSEMINATED ON AN ALMOST DAILY BASIS. IT IS YOU, THE LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EDUCATING EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES. A. SUCH CHANGES MUST BE SUBMITTED TO, AND APPROVED BY, THE DISTRICT ENGINEERING OFFICE AND DESIGNED IN ACCORDANCE WITH DISTRICT STANDARDS. QUICK COUPLING VALVES USED IN RECYCLING WATER SYSTEMS SHALL CONFORM TO THE FOLLOWING. A. RECYCLED WATER -QUICK COUPLING VALVES USED IN RECYCLING WATER SYSTEMS SHALL HAVE ACME TYPE THREADS AND PURPLE COLORED LOCKING COVERS PERMANENTLY ATTACHED TO THE VALVE. QUICK COUPLING VALVES SHALL BE NELSON NO. 7645, HUNTER NO. HV100A-RL-NP OR APPROVED EQUAL. (SPIKES SHALL NOT BE INTERCHANGEABLE WITH POTABLE WATER QUICK COUPLER SPIKES). 7. ALL RECYCLED WATER SPRINKLER CONTROL VALVES SHALL BE TAGGED WITH IDENTIFiCA TION TAGS. A. TAGS SHALL BE WEATHERPROOF PLAST!C 3"X4" PURPLE IN COLOR WITH THE WORDS 'WARNING RECLAIMED WATER-DO NOT DRINK' IMPRINTED ON ONE SIDE, AND 'NO TOME EL AGUA' ON THE OTHER SiDE. B.
