The Carlsbad City Library is pleased to present a month of programming based around the author Tara Westover and her book Educated. Human Library •April 24, 1-3:00 p.m. Zoom Virtual Event The Human Library is a library where real people are the books and reading is a conversation. Living Books (people with a particular life experience or story to tell) are available to “check out” for a 20-minute conversation. Tara Westover is an American author, born in Idaho to a father opposed to public education. She never attended school and spent her days working in her father's junkyard or stewing herbs for her mother. She was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom.
