Library Services during COVID-19
Current Status
•State guidance recent change: red tier as of March 17
•Library part of retail sector: 50% occupancy allowed
•Monday –Saturday, 10 a.m. –5 p.m.
−Curbside service
−Staff support via phone, email, text, chat
−WiFi garden at Dove
•Limited interior services: computers, accounts, printing and copying
Current Status
(online)•Virtual programs
−Regular story times, book clubs, genealogy programs, tween programs, etc.
−Special events: music performances, Carlsbad Reads Together, etc.
•Research resources available 24/7
•Catalog available 24/7
Current Status
(adjustments)•Library materials due dates
−Due dates extended several times in past year
−March 31 due date will not be extended further
−Fines will accrue after this time
−Patrons with items checked out have been notified
•Quarantine time of library materials reduced
