INSTALLATION -SHRUB
1. Flush all lines thoroughly prior to installing on riser.
2. Grasp base of sprinkler by cap (not body) and screw securely onto taped riser. Do not over-torque, handtight is sufficient.
3. To align part circle sprinkler to coverage area, locate raised dot on sprinkler shoulder and align with center of coverage area. If dot can not be positioned correctly when
sprinkler is tight, unscrew Nozzle assembly and reposition Arc Disc to coverage area.
4. Turn on water to system and refine part spray pattern.
INSTALLATION -POP-UP
1. Grasp sprinkler by body (not cap) and screw securely onto ,PIion taped riser or barbed ell. Do not over-torque, handlightis sufficient.
2. To align part circle sprinkler to coverage area, locate raised dot on Ix~; and align with center of coverage area. If dot can not be positioned correctly when sprinkler is
tight, unscrew nozzle assembly and reposition Arc Disc to coverage area.
3. Back fill soil around sprinkler avoiding soil contact with nozzle assembly.
4. Unscrew cap and remove riser assembly. Observe riser/body keyway relation (raised timing marks are [or,~+ed on riser base and body exterior) to maintain proper spay
alignment when reassembling.
Note: On 12' pop-up models remove cap set screw prior to removing cap, if applicable.
5. Remove basket screen (3" pop-up models) and flush all lines thoroughly. Reassemble sprinkler.
6. Turn on water to system and refine part circle pattern.
NOTE: Series 300 heads (pop-up models) should be installed with top of cap level with finished grade (soil).
Caution: Use only teflon tape to make threaded connections between riser or barbed ell and sprinkler body.
Deterioration of sprinkler body may occur if other sealing compounds are used.
Installation -Shrub and Pop-Up Heads
Slopes over 8' in vertical height must include Erosion Control Standards as follows:
a) standard #1 --cover crop/jute mesh (100%)
b) standard #2 -ground cover, minimum flatted size (100%)
c) standard #3 -low spreading shrubs from minimum 2¾ liners (70% coverage)
d) standard #4 -trees and large shrubs from minimum 1 gallon (1/200 square feet)
Slopes between 4' and 8' in vertical height have standard #1, #2, #3 above.
Slopes 3' or less in vertical height and adjacent to public walks or street have standard #1.
