SHRUB SPRAY ON SLOPE
IRRIGATION SPECfFICATIONS
A. SCOPE OF WORK ·
Work included in these specifications st'lall include furnishing of all materials. equipment, applia~-
ces, labor and permits for the installation and construction of an irrigation sy3tem as shown on the
plans.
B INSTALLATION
1. All lines, vahe$, ...ci sprinkler heads shown on pi.ns are diagrammatic: and are to be located !in
planter areas where possible.
2. All -rkmanship and materials llllall conform lo local buUding and plumbing codes.
3. Trenehes tor piping sllall be straigt'lt with bottom and uniform 10J/9rade.
(a) Mainline llllall haW! minimum earth cover of 18".
(b) Lateral$ shall have minimum earth coW!r of r l-~
4. Backfill of all trenches llllall be tree of rocks and foreign materials. Backfill to be uniformly
placed, tamped and finist'l-graded to final grades.
5." All PVC pipe to be installed as per manufacturer's instructions.
6. All lawn pop-up heads lo be installed flush with finished grade.
7. All llllrub t'leads to be installed 6" above grade and set a minimum of 4" away from adjacent
paving and/or structures. All shrub heads adjacent to walkways shall be installed with flex·risers
as per detail. _
8. All impact heads to be reinforced with 3/8" diameter reinforcing steel and secured with galvan-
ized wire. No. 3 re-bar shall be a minimum or 18" in lengtt'I.
9. All il!ilectriC remote control valW!s st'lall be grouped and installed in meter valve boxes. Valve
bOxes to toe installed with top of box leW!I wilt'! finillll grade.
10. Pressure vacuum breaker to be installed as per manufacturer's specifications.
C. TESTING
1. All irrigation lines to be flushed prior to placement of sprinkler heads.
2. Contractor st'lall be responsible for leak-proof system and shall repair any visible leaks.
0. SPRAY ADJUSTMENTS
Contractor shall adjust all sp,-inkler heads as lo mini,mize overs pray onto walks, paying, and bulldi~g
