Site Development Mandatory
4.106.2 A plan is developed and implemented to manage storm water drainage during construction. (X)

Energy Efficiency

Construction Waste Management Plan
4.408.1 A minimum of 65 percent qf the construction waste generated at the site is diverted to recycle or (X)

4.408.2 Where a local jurisdiction does not have a construction and demolition waste management (X )
ordinance, construction waste management plan, per form B-59, shall be submitted for approval to the

4.410.1 An operation and maintenance manual shall be provided to the building occupant or owner. (X)

Fireplaces
4.503.1 Any installed gas fireplace shall be a direct-vent sealed-combustion type. Any installed
woodstove or pellet stove shall comply with US EPA Phase II emission limits where applicable. (X )
Woodstoves, pellet stoves and fireplaces shall also comply with applicable local ordinances.

4.504.1 Duct openings and other related air distribution component openings shall be covered (X)

4.504.2.1 Adhesive, sealants and caulks shall be compliant with VOC and other toxic compound (X)

4.504.2.2 Paints, stains and other coatings shall be compliant with voe limits. (X )
4.504.2.3 Aerosol paints and coatings shall be compliant with product weighted MIR limits for

4.504.5 Particleboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF) and hardwood plywood used in interior

Interior Moisture Control
4.505.2 Vapor retarder and capillary break is installed at slab on grade foundations. (X)
4.505.3 Moisture content of building materials used in wall and floor framing is checked before (X )

Indoor Air Quality and Exhaust
4.506.1 Exhaust fans which terminate outside the building are provided in every bathroom. (X)
Environmental Comfort
4.507 .1 Whole house exhaust fans shall have insulated louvers or covers which close when the (X)
fan is off. Covers or louvers shall have a minimum insulation value of R-4.2.
4.507.2 Duct systems are sized, designed, and equipment is selected using the following

702.1 HVAC system installers are trained and certified in the proper installation of HVAC (X)

Calculations:
Concrete:
• 150 lbs. / cubic foot, which is the standard weight used by structural engineers and architects for
estimating concrete weight plus reinforcing steel.
• A Cubic Yard is calculated at 150 lbs/C.F. X 27 = 4,050 lbs./ cubic yard (C.Y.).
• A standard Super-Ten truck can haul 1 O C.Y. of material, but in practice they are loaded with 7 C.Y.
of material.
• The total calculation for concrete is 4,050 X 7 = 28,350 lbs. Per truck load
• 2677 State Street exported 12 truck loads of concrete. 28,350 lbs. X 12 trucks = 340,200 lbs.
Asphalt:
• 145 lbs. / cubic foot, as provided by National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA)
• A Cubic Yard is calculated at 145 lbs/C.F. X 27 = 3,915 lbs./ cubic yard (C.Y.).
• The total calculation for concrete is 3,915 lbs. X 7 = 27,405 lbs. Per truck load
• 2677 State Street exported 20 truck loads of concrete. 27,405 lbs. X 20 trucks= 548,100 lbs.
Total Asphalt/Concrete Weight = 888,300 lbs.
Masonry:
• 150 lbs. / cubic foot, which is the standard weight used by structural engineers and architects for
estimating concrete weight plus reinforcing steel.
• A Cubic Yard is calculated at 150 lbs/C.F. X 27 = 4,050 lbs./ cubic yard (C.Y.).

• The total calculation for CMU is 4,050 X 7 = 28,350 lbs. Per truck load
• 2677 State Street exported 3 truck loads of concrete. 28,350 lbs. X 3 trucks = 85,050 lbs.
Drywall:
• 1.6 lbs/ square foot, with an area of 980 square feet. 980 SF X 1.6 lbs = 1,568 lbs

Landscape Debris:
• 200 lbs. Was used as an approximation for the amount of landscaping that was present. There was
only a small amount of yard waste scraps, roots and shrubs left at the front of the property adjacent
to the sidewalk. The majority of the site was asphalt paving.
Lumber / Wood:
• The project was primarily CMU with a wood roof over the garage area. The roof was composed of
plywood and wood rafters. The following calculation was used for wood:
o Plywood: 1. 7 lbs/ C.F. with a surface area of 3,150 s.f. = 5,355 lbs.
o Wood rafters over office: 3.3 Lbs. / s. f. With a surface area of 725 s. f. = 2,393 lbs.
o Wood rafters over garage: 3.3. Lbs. / s.f. With a surface area of 1,140 s. f. = 3,762 lbs.
o Total Wood weight= 11,510 lbs.
Metals:
• 4,000 lbs. Per the weight provided in the Lee's Metal Recycling receipt.
