I, Jan Erik Jansson, owner of the property located at 2501 State St.
Carlsbad, Ca., grant pennission to Mullen Construction and their
representatives to demolish Building #2 (located on the west side of the
property bounded by North County Transit District property), two
recessed abandoned "brine" pits on the south side of the property,
one raised concrete pedestal on the north side of the property and
approximately 3,000 sq.ft. of concrete paving on the south side of the
property. This work to compliment the future improvements to 2501
State St. in creating additional off-street parking and employee
recreation. This demolition work to also include the non-structural
demising walls at existing offices at Building #1 and the abandoned
tanks, piping, I-beam eq1ulJ,11¥!:nt tracks, etc., in the warehouse area of
Building # 1.

Demolition Authorization
Please let this e-mail serve as authorization from the Housing and Redevelopment Department to permit
the demolition of the industrial building located on the northwest corner of property located at 2501 State
Street. The property was last used by Culligan Water and the building in question was used as accessory
warehouse space. It is not the main building.
The property has been sold and the new owner has submitted an application for an administrative
redevelopment permit to convert the light industrial use to a corporate office building. The demolition of
the building will make room for additional parking. We haven't completed the administrative
redevelopment permit process, but the owner wants to get a head start on demolishing the building and
clearing some of the site. The Housing & Redevelopment Department is supportive of this demolition.
