Project Address: 2568.:State S.treet, Carlsbad Lots 21 and 22 , Seaside Lands , Map 1722 , Carlsbad
Work Proposed: Re-locate existing office and storage buildings from Lot 21 to Lot 22 and
remodel same , including addition of paving and landscaping.
Your application for an administrative permit is hereby approved and a permit her eby issued
subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. That the applicant agrees to adhere strictly to the curr ent plans for the project as
approved by the Executive Director of the Regional Commission.
2. That the applicant agrees to notify the Regional Commission or State Commission if there
is no Regional Commission of any substantial changes in the project.
3. That the applicant will meet all the local code requirements and ordinances, and obtain
all necessary permits from state and federal agencies.
4. That the applicant agrees to conform to the permit rules and regulations of the
California Coastal Commission.
5. That the applicant agrees that the Commission staff may make site inspections of the
project during construction and upon compl eti on.
Note that no permit issued herewith shall become valid until the happening of the following
three conditions: (1) Regional Corr.mission Meeting. The close of the meeting of the San Diego
Coast Regional Commission at which time a r eport concerning the i ssuance of this permit has
been pr esented and where there is no opposition from the Reg ional Commi ssion; (2) End of
Appeal Period. The t en (10) working day appeal period following the close of the Commission
Meeting has elapsed without an appeal filed with the State Commission; (3) Receipt and
Acknowledgement. Until a copy of the permit is returned to the Regional Corrmission signed by
the permittee acknowledging the r eceipt of a copy of the permit and the fact that the
permittee understands the contents thereof.
This det ermination was made upon the following findings:
l. The construction coiet: $5 ,500.
2. This project would be similar to development in the surrounding area and would .be consistent
with the policies of the Calif. Coastal Act. of 1976.
. ' ' That the proposed development is consistent with the provisions set f or th in Public
Resources Code Section 30624 and with the objectives set forth in Chapter 3 of the California
Coastal Act of 1976 (corr.rnencing with Public Resources Code Section 30200 ).
Terns and Conditions are to run with the lar.d. These t erns and conditions shall be perpetual
and i t is the intention of the parties to bind all future owners and possessors of the subject
property to said terms and conditions.
STANDARD PROVISIONS: (1) STRICT COMPLIANCE: Permittee is under obligation to conf orm strictly to pernit under
penalties established by California Coastal Act of 1976.
(2) TIMELY DEVELOPMENT AND COMPLETION: Permittee shall commence development within one year
following final approval of the project by the San Diego Coast Regional Commission.
Construction shall be pursued in a diligent manner and corr.pleted within a reasonable
period of time.
(3) REQJEST FOR EXTENSIONS: Permittee may r equest an extensi on of time for the corr.rnencement
of construction provided the request is applied for prior to expiration of the permit.
(4) ASSIGNABILITY OF PER.MIT: This permit is not assignable unless the Permittee's
obligations under the permit are assumed by assignee in writing within one year, and a
copy of the r equired assumption agreement delivered to the Regional Corr.rnission or State
Conrrnission if there is no Regional Commission.
(5) APPEAL: Unless appealed to the State Corr.mission within ten (10) working days f ollowing
final action by the San Di ego Coast Regional Commission, all terms and conditions shall
be final.
(6) DISCLAIMER: The permit is in no way intended to effect the rights and obligations
her etofore existing under private agreements nor to effect the existing regulations of
other public bodies.
(7) PER.MITTEE TO REI'URN COPY: This permit shall not be valid unless within ten (10 ) working
days Permittee returns a signed copy acknowledging contents to San Diego Coast
Regional Commission.
