ELECTRICAL CORRECTIONS

1. All electrical sheets of the plans are required to be signed by the California licensed
engineer responsible for the plan preparation. Please include the California license
number, seal, date of license expiration and the date the plans are signed. Business and
Professions Code.
• ELECTRICAL (1999 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE)
2. Submit completed plans for a complete review.
3. Submit a completed service and feeder one line diagram for review. NEC 215-5.
4. Show the ampere interrupting capacity (AIC) ratings of the service and sub-service
equipment. NEC 110-9
5. Show or note on the plans the method used to limit fault currents to 10,000 amps on
branch circuits. NEC 230-208
6. Note on the single line diagram that all service disconnect devices shall be labeled as a
"Service Disconnecting Means". NEC 230-?0(b)
7. Please show or identify new loads proposed for the existing equipment.
8. Indicate main service total load demand on the service(s).
9. Please show on the plan the clearance in front of the service(s). NEC 110-26, 230-2.
10. If utilizing a series-rated system, note on plans: "Overcurrent device enclosures will be
identified as series-rated and labeled in accordance with NEC 110-22" and "The
overcurrent devices shall be AIC rated per manufacturers. labeling of the electrical
equipment".
11. Rebar OR ground rods are not acceptable grounding electrodes for commercial
applications in the City of Carlsbad. Please describe what the "UFER" ground will be.
