If backflow a·ssembly is to be installed on a slope with a horizontal to vertical ratio of 4:1 or greater, a two foot (2 1 ) high retaining wall must be built surrounding the assembly on three sides with the opening on the down side of the slope. Ther~ must be a minimum two foot (2 1 ) horizontal clearance between the retaining wall and the backflow assembly. Assembly must be located in an area not subject to flooding. 7.
