The tape shall be attached to the top of the pipe with plastic tape banded.around the warning tape and the pipe every 5 feet on center_ A second tape shall be installed continually over entire length of pipe 12 inches above the water line, G. The Carlsbad-Municipal Water District shall be notified seven days prior to the start of construction at (619) 438-3367. H. As-built drawings of the sprinkler system must be submitted and approved· by the District Engineer prior to final a=eptance of this project-Failure to provide the drawings may result in the forfeiture of the contractors•s standard retention fees. I. All pressure main line piping from the reclaimed water system shall be installed to maintain 10 feet minimum horizontal separation from all potable water piping. Where reclaimed and potable water pressure main line piping cross, the reclaimed water piping shall be installed below the potable water piping in a Class 200 "Alertline" purple colored PVC sleeve which extends a minimum of 10 feet on either side of the potable water piping and provide a minimwn vertical clearance of 12 inches. All reclaimed water sprinkler control valves shall be tagged with identification tags. K, 1. WORK INCLUDED: 1 INCLUDE WATERING, WEEDING, CULTIVATING, CARING FOR THE PLANTS. EDGING. MOWING. SPRAYING, PRUNING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO KEEP THE PLANT MATERIALS IN A HEALTHY GROWING CONDITION AND TO KEEP THE PLANTED AREAS NEAT AND ATTRACTIVE DURING THE MAINTENANCE PERIOD. 2. PROVIDE EQUIPMENT AND MEAN$ FOR PROPER APPLICATION OF WATER TO THOSE PLANTED AREAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM. 3. PROTECT PLANTED AREAS AGAINST DAMAGE, INCLUDING EROSION AND TRESPASSING, BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING PROPER SAFEGUARDS. 4. WHERE LAWN AREAS HAVE REQUIRED RE-SODDING, MAINTAIN SUCH RE- SODDED AREAS FOR AT LEAST 30 CALENDAR DAYS UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE ARCHITECT. 5. MOW THE GRASS WITH A REEL-TYPE MOWER, EQUIPPED WITH ROLLERS BEFORE THE AREAS EXCEED 3" IN HEIGHT SUT NOT LESS THAN 2". COLLECT THE GRASS CLIPPINGS DURING MOWING OPERATIONS AND REMOVE FROM THE SITE. 6. AFTER EACH CUTTING, TRIM THE EDGE OF THE GRASS TO A NEAT AND UNIFORM LINE. 7. AFTER THE INITIAL MOWING, MOW GRASS A MINIMUM OF ONCE EACH SEVEN DAYS, WITH A FINAL MOWING FOUR DAYS PRIOR TO THE END OF THE MAINTENANCE PERIOD, MAKE A FERTILIZER APPLICATION THREE DAYS AFTER THE FINAL MOWING USING ,MATERIAL SPECIFIED IN SPECIFIC NOTES AT THE RATE OF 5 POUNDS PER 1,000 SQUARE FEET AT THE END OF THE MAINTENANCE PERIOD, ALL PLANT MATERIAL SHALL BE IN A HEALTHY GROWING CONDITION, EXCEPT THAT REPlACEMENTS REQUIRED BECAUSE OF VANDALISM OR OTHER CAUSES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE CONTRACTOR ARE NOT PART OF THE CONTRACT. REPAIRS: 1. EXTERMINATE GOPHERS AND MOLES, AND REPAIR DAMAGE. 2. WHERE DEPRESSIONS ARE CAUSED BY VEHICLES, BICYCLES OR OTHER TRAFFIC, FILL WITH TOPSOIL AND ADD THE REQUIRED MULCH. .
