These plans are based on improvement plans by Hunsaker &
Associates, Civil Engineer's.

plans.
7. Contractor shall submit a schedule of work lo be approved by the owner
and Landscape Architect prior to beginning the project. The work shall
be in accordance with said schedule.

The contractor shall, immediately upon being awarded the contract,
make any arrangements necessary to insure that all material and
supplies will be available when needed for this project.
Additions anc/lor deletions of material and/or labor shall be made at unit
prices established with the contractor prior to beginning the work.
Determination of "equal" substitutions shall be made by the owner I
Landscape Architect and the City.
Landscape Architect shall be notified no less than 48 hours in advance
of any inspections or meetings.
Contractor shall be backcharge for Landscape Architect's time when
inspections are called for and it is round that the work is not significantly
ready upon inspection or the appointment is not kept.

shall be responsible for making hook-up from outlet to controller.
All wire from controller to electric c.ontrol .valves to be copper UF direct burial. Use black for
pilot_· white for common. Install in common trench with main line piping where possible
Provide minimum 18'' cover. -
Provide. minimum 18" cover over al/ pressure main line piping and 12" over all non-pressure
lateral /me pIpmg. All pipe under paved areas to be PVC Sch.40 installed prior to paving.
Final location of automatic controller ta be determined by owner's authorized representative
and/or landscape architect.
This design is dis.grammatic. Equipment shown in paved areas is for design clarification
only and 1s to be installed within planted areas wherever possible.
Irrigation contractor shall /lush all lines and adjust all heads for maximum performance and
to prevent overspray onto walks and drives as much as possible. This shall include selecting
the best degree of arc to fit existing site conditions.

SLOPE PUu'IITING STANDARDS
Slopes requiring erosion control measures as specified herein shall be treated with
one or more oi the follo-.ing planting standards:
a Standan:I #I -COVER CROP/Jt'TE MESH
Cover crop shall be a seed mix typically made up of quick germinating
and fast covering grasses, clovers, and/or "ild flowers. Submit the specific
seed mix for City approval prior to application. The cover crop shall be
applied at a rate and manner sufficient to provide 90% coverage ";thin
thirty (30) days.
Type of jute mesh shall be as approved by the City and staked to the slope as
recommended by the manufacturer.
Jute mesh shall be required when planting occurs between August 15 and
April 15.
During the remainder of t1e year. the cove~ crop and/or jute mesh may
be used.
b. Standard #2 • GROUND COVER
One hundred (100%) percent of the area shall be planted with a ground
caver known to ha\'e excellent soil binding characteristics (planted from a
minimum size of flatted material and spaced to provide full coverage v.ithin
one year) .
c. Standard #3 • LOW SHRUBS
Low spreading woody shrubs (planted from a minimum of2 ¾ inch liners)
shall cover a minimum of seventy (70%) percent of the slope race (at
mature size).
