Fiscal Analysis This action has no fiscal impact. Environmental Evaluation In keeping with California Public Resources Code Section 21065, this action does not constitute a “project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act in that it has no potential to cause either a direct physical change in the environment or a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. Public Notification and Outreach This item was noticed in keeping with the Ralph M. Brown Act and it was available for public viewing and review at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting date. The last map was done well. We should keep school districts all in one City Council district. Oct. 28, 2021 Item #1 Page 4 of 6 The Process Going Forward 4 Maps are submitted through DistrictR and Maptitude, emailed to redistricting@carlsbad.gov or dropped off at the City Clerk’s Office City’s demographer reviews every map. The Independent Redistricting Commission will also receive all maps that are submitted.
