A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, NOMINATING TWO PLANNING
COMMISSIONERS TO SERVE ON THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT UPDATE
ADVISORY COMMITTEE {ONE COMMISSIONER TO SERVE AS A PRIMARY
COMMITTEE MEMBER AND ONE COMMISSIONER TO SERVE AS AN
ALTERNATE MEMBER).
CASE NAME: GROWTH MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, a City Council goal for fiscal year 2021-2022 is to "engage the community through a
citizens committee to create a new plan to manage growth in Carlsbad in a way that maintains an excellent
quality of life"; and
WHEREAS, a citizens advisory committee is a critical part of creating a new
growth management plan; and
WHEREAS, on September 28, 2021, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
2021-223 approving a charter for the Growth Management Update Advisory
Committee; and
WHEREAS, the city's existing commissions address topics that affect quality of
life; therefore, members of each commission/board will participate on the committee;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has nominated two Planning
Commissioner's to serve on the Growth Management Plan Update Advisory Committee
(one commissioner to serve as a primary committee member and one commissioner to
serve as an alternate member); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission's nomination will be considered and
confirmed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOVED by the Planning Commission of the City of
Carlsbad, as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
