COMMUNICATION
Each XR5 panel contains a built-in dual
phone Line module with line supervision
that can communicate to one or two
remote receivers using DMP Serial 1
digital dialer or Contact ID (CID) formats.
You can also selectively enable alarm,
supervisory/trouble, backup, and recall
test reporting to either of the two
receivers.
NETWORK MONITORINGTm
An iCOMsL Network Alarm Communicator
connects to the XR5 to provide Internet/
LAN/WAN communications to the panel.
When used in this manner or as a slave
or stand-alone network communicator,
the iCOMsi. reduces or eliminates costly
telephone lines and communicates to the
central station via high-speed network
connections.
ONE-MAN WALK TEST
Conduct one-man tests of the system
and all connected devices using the Walk
Test feature. Simply enter an access
code into the keypad and XR5 panels
automatically enter test mode. Each time
a zone trips during the test, the bell rings
for two seconds and a Sensor Reset is
automatically performed to reset latched
detectors. When the test is completed,
the results display at the keypad and can
be sent to the central station.
714 ZONE EXPANDER
The 714 provides four inputs and is
suitable for use with normally open and
normally closed fire devices. 714 inputs
are supervised and can be programmed
for any zone type. The 714 connects to
the keypad bus.
715 ZONE EXPANDER
The 715 expander provides four Class B
powered inputs and is suitable for use
with the 2-wire conventional smoke
detectors. 715 inputs are supervised and
can be programmed for any zone type.
The 715 connects to the keypad bus.
POWERFUL FALSE ALARM
REDUCTION FEATURES
The built-in false alarm reduction
features include cross zoning, fire
verification, fire retard, and CLeanMeiM
reporting.
Cross zoning allows multiple zones to
be cross zoned and reports alarms only
when two or more zones fault within a
programmable time of 4 to 250 seconds.
Should just one zone trip, only a zone
fault report is sent to the central
station.
Fire verification provides a 120-second
window during which a smoke detector
can trip, be automatically reset, and
then must trip a second time before an
alarm is indicated. A single trip on the
zone sends only a zone fault report to
the central station.
Fire retard allows a programmable time
of up to 250 seconds for waterflow
detection. This eliminates the need
for additional mechanical delays at the
tlowswitch.
ANNUNCIATOR OUTPUTS
Four open collector outputs can be
used for a variety of remote control and
annunciation applications. Each output is
rated for 50mA maximum. Add the Model
860 Relay Output module to provide four
form C relay contacts. Each Model 305
relay is rated at 42mA and the module
easily mounts inside the XR5 enclosure.
TROUBLE ANNUNCIATOR
MODULE
For slave communicator applications,
the XR5SL provides an enclosure door-
mounted Model 377 Trouble Annunciator
Module. The Model 377 offers Trouble
and System OK LEDs with audible alert
and a Silence button for acknowledging
trouble conditions.
BUILT-IN PROGRAMMER
An internal English text Programmer
enables technicians to easily program
and test the panel from any keypad.
A Lockout code restricts access to only
authorized persons.
REMOTE PROGRAMMING
Remotely program XR5 panels using
Remote Link programming software from
DMP. You can upload panel programming,
make the necessary programming
changes, and then download the revised
programming into the panel.
Expand Remote Link/System Link
functionality with Advanced Reporting,
Alarm Monitoring, Command Center, or
Link Server packages.
630F FIRE COMMAND CENTER
KEYPAD OPERATION
For system annunciation, include the
DMP 630F Fire Command keypad in your
installation. This 20-key, 32-character LCD
annunciator provides full-text displays
of system events and menu prompts.
It can be used for system operation,
annunciation, and programming. The
630F is protected by either a keyswitch
or code. The keyswitch enables the four
function buttons: Silence, Reset, Test,
and Fire Drill. Install the 630F using the
included backbox and trim frame for
flush-mount applications and the 635-R
backbox for surface mount applications.
The 630F has the ability to annunciate
all on-board and expansion zones on
the XR5.
692F FIRE COMMAND LED
KEYPAD
The 692F Fire Command LED Keypad
offers 5 sets of highly visible LED
annunciation of alarm and trouble
conditions. It provides individual zone
alarm and trouble LEDs for zones one to
five only. Also, system LEDs, an internal
sounder, 2-button Fire alarm initiation,
and only Silence, Reset, and Fire Drill
functions are provided. The 692F is used
in applications where only the panels five
on-board zones are used.

RETROFIT EXISTING DMP
SYSTEMS
Designed to allow easy retrofitting, the
Fire Command" keypads are compatible
with all tviPpanels. DYIP recommends
using the 692F with the XR5 panel. Adding a
keypad does not require new wiring, special
modules, or panel upgrades. You can provide
anew look and greater functionality to an
existing system at just a fraction of the cost
for all new equipment.
2-BUTTON PANIC KEYS
The Fire Command Keypads allow the top
row of keys to be used as 2-button Panic
keys. This feature lets the user press and
hold two of the keys simultaneously to
send a Panic, non-medical Emergency
(options not available on 692F), or Fire
Alarm report to the central station. An
adhesive label is provided with the
keypads to identify the Panic keys to the
user.
KEYBOARD BACKLIGHTING
The Fire Command keypads also
illuminate the keyboard in green
whenever a key is pressed or the internal
buzzer sounds. This allows users to enter
their code or perform a command function
in very low light conditions. This option is not
available on the 630F Keypad.
RED ALARM BACKLIGHTING
The keypads offer one of the most unique
features found on any keypad. During an
alarm condition on the system, the
keyboard backlighting turns a bright red.
This change in color from the normal
green backlighting helps people on-site
to instantly recognize an alarm condition. This
option is not available on the 630F Keypad.
BUILT-IN DIAGNOSTICS
An internal diagnostics program lets
installers and service technicians test the
operation of the keypad at any time
without disabling the system. The
diagnostics program tests the keypad's
prewarn tone, LCD segments and
backlighting, each of the keyboard's 16
keys, and the 790F keypad's four
protection zones. This option is not available
on the 692F Keypad.
SUPERVISED AND
UNSUPERVISED
OPERATION
You can program the keypads for
supervised or unsupervised operation on
the keypad data bus. When supervised,
the keypad occupies its own address.
Unsupervised operation allows you to
install multiple keypads on the bus with
the same address. This feature greatly
increases the overall number of keypads
you can install to provide maximum
flexibility in operating the system. The 692F
is always unsupervised.
692F FIRE COMMAND
KEYPAD
The 692F Fire Command Keypad offers
highly visible LED annunciation of alarm
and trouble conditions on DMP XR5FC and
XR5SL Commercial Fire Panels. The 692F
provides individual zone alarm and
trouble LEDs, status LEDs, an internal
buzzer, 2-button functions.
The 692F also includes an easy-to-read
backlit keyboard with large alphanumeric
characters. The 692F is cased in a stylishly
designed, durable red plastic housing with
removable base for easy installation.
STATUS LEDS
The green Power LED lights when primaryAC
or DC power to the panel is at an acceptable
level and flashes when its battery is low or
missing. Ayellow Trouble LED turns on when
either the panel has failed to communicate
with the central station receiver or when
phone line 1 or 2 is in a bad condition. The
692F also uses a yellow Silenced LED to
indcatewhen the paneI Bel[ Output has been
silenced.
ZONE LEDS
Ten zone LEDs indicate the status of the
zones. Each zone has a trouble and alarm
LED to indicate at-a-glance zone status.
KEYPAD FUNCTION KEYS
There are four clearly labeled function
keys on the 692F keypad. The SILENCE,
RESET, TEST, and CODE function keys
allow the user to press one key to initiate
operations. As an added security measure, the
user must enter a valid security code after
pressing one of the function keys.

The ESL 521 Series self-diagnostic, two-wire
smoke detectors are the industry's first conventional
direct-wire smoke detectors with analog features such
as remote maintenance/trouble reporting (CleanMe®),
drift compensation, and multi-criteria detection.
The 521 Series continually monitor their own sensi-
tivity and operational status, and provide a visual and
remote trouble condition if they drift out of the sensitiv-
ity range or fail internal diagnostics. This meets NFPA
72 field sensitivity testing requirements without the
need for external meters. The 521 has a unique feature
enabling it to send a signal (CleanMe) to the ESL 505
module (sold separately) when it has drifted outside of
its UL Listed sensitivity range or has failed its internal
diagnostics test. The 505 is an interface module that
will signal a 24V panel via relays when the 521 is dirty.
Several 12V and 24V control panels have the CleanMe
software built in, eliminating the need for the 505
module. When CleanMe is not desired, simply leave
the switch on the 521 off and it will work as a normal
two wire detector. CleanMe allows the installer time to
schedule a service call and avoid a false alarm.
Time between cleaning detectors is dramatically
increased because of the 521's built-in drift compensa-
tion. This feature, usually only available in analog
systems, allows the detector to automatically adjust its
sensitivity over time as it becomes dirty, increasing the
life of the detector.
And when the 521 has told you that cleaning is
necessary, it's literally a snap with ESL's patented field
replaceable optical chamber.

521 Series ESL Photoelectric Smoke Detectors
The multi-criteria model 521 BXT/CRXT photoelectric smoke
detector/fixed rate of rise heat detector includes fast
response algorithms for a quick response to both flaming
and smoldering fires. Fast response algorithms allow the
heat detectors to work intelligently together with the photo-
electric smoke detector. As soon as the heat sensor detects
a rapid rise in temperature, the sensitivity of the photoelec-
tric sensor increases allowing it to detect smaller particles of
combustion faster.
Architectural and Engineering Specifications
The ESL 521 Series photoelectric smoke detector is a low-
profile, self-diagnostic , two-wire detector that monitors its
own sensitivity and operational status. This detector meets
NFPA 72 field sensitivity requirements without the need for
external meters. Built-in drift compensation automatically
adjusts the sensitivity as the detector gets dirty. Normal
sensing occurs every 9 seconds. This rate doubles when a
signal exceeding the alarm threshold value is sensed. Two
additional successive signals above the threshold level will
initiate an alarm.
See installation instructions for information about correct
installation and maintenance.
The proprietary optical sensing chamber is field replaceable,
allowing quick and easy cleaning and maintenance.

Robust Construction: The P1BV2's rugged housing is intended
for indoor and outdoor use. When installed with the actuator in the
vertical position, the PIBV2 is NEMA 313 rated per UL.
Application Flexibility: The PIBV2 features a flexible design, whici
accommodates post indicator, butterfly, and many other types of
wall post, recessed wall post and pressure reducing valves. The
PlBV2's unique bi-directional actuator allows the unit to be installed
in either rising or falling flag installations.
Simplified Installation: Installation is made easier with the
PIBV2's single side conduit entrance. By providing a direct conduit
pathway to the electrical source, right angle fittings are not required.
Installation is further simplified by the PlBV2s adjustable length
actuator with a convenient breakaway feature for installation on
shorter valves, This eliminates the need for cutting the shaft.
Reliable Performance: The PIBV2 has 100 percent synchronization
which activates the alarm panel and local bell simultaneously. In
addition, the switch is designed to operate in temperatures ranging
from -40°F to 120°F (-40°C to 49°C). The PIBV2 is equipped with
tamper resistant cover screws to prevent unauthorized entry. Inside,
two sets of SPOT (Form C) synchronized switches are enclosed in a
durable terminal block to assure reliable performance.
