Subject: Establish Traffic and Mobility Commission Schedule for 2022
Recommended Action Provide guidance for establishing the Traffic and Mobility Commission schedule for 2022 with recommended special meetings to be held in July and September
Executive Summary
Staff must reserve zoom meeting appointments and/or the council chambers for the Traffic and
Mobility Commission meetings to be held in 2022. Staff will need to schedule special meetings
for the July and September to address city holidays that conflict with the regular meeting
schedule.
Discussion
The Traffic and Mobility Commission is required to meet the first Monday of each month unless
the commissioners decide to cancel the meeting or hold a special meeting on a different date or
revised time. This coming year the 4th of July holiday falls on Monday July 4, 2022 which is the
regularly scheduled date for the July Traffic and Mobility Commission meeting. Also, Labor Day
falls on September 5, 2021 which is the regularly scheduled date for the September Traffic and
Mobility Commission meeting. Because both holidays are an official city holiday the Commission
will need to approve new dates for a special meeting.
Staff has provided the following options for dates for the Traffic and Mobility Commission’s
consideration based on a review of the citywide calendar:

• Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. if we are back in the Council Chambers
September Meeting Option
• Tuesday Sept. 6, 2022 at 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. if we are back in the Council Chambers

Next Steps
Staff will schedule special Traffic and Mobility Commission meetings for July and September
based on the commission’s input.
