BACKFLOW PREVENTER TEST NOTE:
ALL IRRIGATION BACKFLOW PREVENTERS SHALL BE TESTED BY A CERTIFIED
TESTER AND RESULTS MUST BE GIVEN TO THE CITY AND THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT. PIPE BETWEEN THE METER AND BACKFLOW
PREVENTER SHALL BE "SCHEDULE K HARD COPPER". APPROVED CONTRACT
BACKFLOW TESTERS CAN BE FOUND ON THE CITY WEB SITE AT:

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS:
1. PRIOR TO THE START OF GRADING, THE APPLICANT OR APPLICANT'S
AGENT SHALL OBTAIN APPROVAL OF A CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
AND/OR EXHIBIT OUTLINING THE TIMING OF THE SLOPE PLANTING AND
IRRIGATION. THE SCHEDULE SHALL SHOW TIMING OF CONSTRUCTION OF
FREESTANDING, RETAINING AND CRIB WALLS IMMEDIATELY AFTER ROUGH
GRADING OF EACH LOCATION IS ACHIEVED. IRRIGATION AND PLANT
SHALL TAKE PLACE AS GRADING PROGRESSES.
2. INSTALLATION OF IRRIGATION AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED PLANS
SHALL COMMENCE WITHIN 10 DAYS OF THE TIME WHEN EACH SLOPE IS
BROUGHT TO GRADE AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED GRADING PLANS.
3. PLANTING AND IRRIGATION FOR THE SLOPE AREAS SHALL BE
COMPLETELY INSTALLED, AS SHOWN ON THE APPROVED PLANS, WITHIN
30 DAYS AFTER THE IRRIGAITON INSTALLATION FIRST COMMENCES.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO
BEGINNING LANDSCAPE WORK SO THAT THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT CAN
REVIEW THE PROJECT UTILITY LOCATIONS AND REVISE PLANS
ACCORDINGLY TO FULLY SCREEN ALL UTILITIES FROM VIEW.

12 Permits, Fees, and Codes
A Obtain all permits and pay required fees lo any goverrrnental agency having
jurisdiction. On completion of work, present satisfactory evidence to Landscape
Architect that work is In accordance with ordinance and code requirements.
Arrange for inspections required by local ordinance during construction.
B. Conform with applicable codes, standards, laws and regulations. Nothing in these
drawings or specifications shall be construed to permit non-conforming work.
If construction documents or specifications conflict with agency regulations, notify
Landscape Archtect, and await instructions before proceeding with affected work

thereto arising from operations, subsequent to discovery of such utilities not
shown on drawings.
B. Make minor adjustments to sprinkler system layout as may be required, and work
around existing comstruction at no increase in coet to Owner.
lh Delivery, Storage, and Handling
Protect work and materials from damage during construction and etorage.
PVC pipe and fittings shall be especially protected from direct sunlight.
1.1 Substitutions
No deviations from specified equipment or installation procedures shall be allowed
without written approval of Landscape Architect and City Inspector.
1.8 5ubmittals
A Record Drawings, Prepare a xerox print showing deviations from bid documents
made during construction affecting mainline pipe, controller locations, valves, and
sprinkler heads. REcord drawings shall be delivered to Landscape Architect
before final acceptance. Demension all items from permanent objects to tre
nearest I root.
B. Submit for review a list of all irrigation 139uipment to be used, marufacturers
brochures, maintenance manuals, warrantees, and operation instructions prior
to start or work
C. Tre landscape architect shall provide to tre City, as-built plans for all projects
(bonded and non-bonded, public and private!. Tre final plans shall be prepared
by tre landscape architect from dimensions provided by tre contractor. Fina I
as-built plans shall be drafted to tre satisfaction or tre City, and tre original
mylars shall be submitted to tre City for treir keeping.
l.'3 Guarantee
A. Guarantee all work for one year from acceptance date against defects in material,
equipment, and worlcrnanship. Guarantee shall cover damage repair to any part of
premises resulting from leak; or defects in material, equipment, and/or worlcmanship
to the satisfaction of Landscape Architect.
B. Promptly make repairs upon notification~ Landscape Architect, and at no cost
to Owner.
PART 2 -PRODUCTS
2.1 FIFE
A Plastic pipe,
I. Use poly vinyl chloride /PVCJ type 1121:?-1221:? pipe unless otherwise indicated on
plans. All mainlines shall be sch 4(1) PVC for lines 1-1/2' or smaller, class 315
for sizes 2' and larger. Lateral lines to be class 315 PVC for 1/2' size,
class 21:?lll for larger sizes, sleeving to be sch. 41:? beneath pedestrian paving,
sch W beneath vehicular paving.
2. Fittings, Use scredule 4(1) PVC fittings except wrere otherwise shown In details.
3. Solvent Cement, As recommended by pipe manufacturer and of proper
consistency. Mainline cement shall be a two step (primer! process.

A. Fop-up heads, Use scredule W PVC nipples with street ell swing joints per details.
B. Riser Heads, Use grey seredule W PVC nipples with swing joints below grade
per details. Measure riser height from finish grade to top of riser. Riser diameter
shall be 1/2' diameter except where head inlet is larger in which case, riser will
match inlet size, unless otrerwise noted on drawings.
C. Slope heads, Stake risers or impact and gear driven rotor heads on slopes
with rumber 6 steel reinforcing bar, secure with min. /2J adjustable stainless steel
geared clamp.
D. Drip Emitter Risers, Use grey scredule W PVC nipples per details.
2.3 SPRINKLER HEADS
A Provide sprinkler heads srown on Irrigation Legend.
B. Reclaimed water systems, Heads shall be specifically made for reclaimed water
application with purple color coding and Integral creek valve.
2.4 VALVES
A. Ball valves, Provide 151:? psi rated valve /line size! where shown on Drawings.
B. Quick coupler valves, Provide per Drawings and deliver to Owner wren applicable,

c. Two rose swivels.
C. Automatic and manual control valves, Provide per legend and details on Drawings.
2.5 NOT USED /Drip Irrigation!
2.& BACKFLOW PREVENTER
A. Provide backflow preventers shown on legend and install per details on Drawings
and per manufacuturers instructions.
B. Incorporate pressure regulator and filter device in assembly per details and
drawings.
2.1 AUTOMATIC CONTROLLER
A. Provide controller srown on legend on Drawings. Provide all mounting equipment
and hardware r139uired for pedestal or wall mounting indicated.
B. Control wires, 24 volt solid wire UL approved for direct burial in grO\Jlld.
Black ~4 UF direct lead and white ~2 UF common ground, unless otrerwise noted
on plans.
2.8 OTHER MATERIALS
A Purple /recycled water) plastic valve boxes, Provide plastic valve boxes with lids for
ball 4 quick coupler valves /round) and automatic control valves (I per box maximum!.
Place gravel per irrigation notes and irrigation details. Use purple lids for reclaimed water.
B. Creok valves, Provide spring in-line creek valves /line size) per plan and
as required to prevent low head drainage.
C. Rec!lcled Water Systems, Provide site and controller signage as indicated on drawings.
D. Backfill, Local soil, clean, free of rubbish and rock; over 2 incres diameter.

complete and proper installation as selected by contractor subject to approval
of Landscape Architect.
FART 3 -EXECUTION
3.1 5UfofACE CONDITIONS
A. Verify finish grades and surface drainage with Landscape Architect prior to work
B. Examine areas and conditions under which work will be performed. Correct
conditions detrimental to timely, proper completion or work Do not proceed
until unsatisfactory conditions are corrected.
32 FIELD MEASUREMENTS
A. Make necessary measurements in field, ensure precise fit or items in
accordance with design.
3.3 LAYOUT
A Layout work as accurately as possible to Drawings. Drawings, trough
carefully drawn, are generally diagrammatic to extent that swing joints, offsets
and all fittings are not shown. Site C011ditions will not always permit locating
piping, valves and reads me srown. This situation shall be brought to
immeadiate attention of Landscape Architect and relocation determined in joint
conference. Contractor will be reld responsible for relocating any items without
first obtaining Landscape Architect's approval and shall remove and relocate
such items at his own expense if so directed by Landscape Architect.
B. Where piping is shown on Drawings to be under paved areas but running
parallel and adjacent to planting areas, \re intention Is to install piping in
planted area.
C. Minor changes in equipment location from location shown on Drawings shall
be made as directed by Landscape Architect at no additional cost to Owner
providing such change is ordered before comencement or work, or work directly
=nected, and no additional materials are required.
3.4 EXCAVATING AND TRENCH!tlt1
A Perform all excavations as required for installation or Work included under
this section, including shoring or earth bank; to prevent cave-ins. Restore all
surfaces, existing underground installations, etc., damaged or cut as a result or
excavations to original condition and in marrer approved by Landscape
Architect at no additional cost to tre G\uner.
B. Trenches shall be made wide enough to allow a minimum or 4' between parallel
pipe lines and shall be of sufficient deptro to provide tre minimum cover from
finish grade as follows,
I. 18' minimum cover over main lines to remote control valves,
2. 12' minimum cover over lateral lines to heads,
3. 3(1)' minimum cover under vehicle paving.
4. Polyethylene tubing -3 incres
C. Excavate for landscape systems by trenching, with sides as nearly vertical as
possible. Accurately grade the bottom to provide uniform bearing for the line.
D. 5rort sections of a trench may be tunneled if, in Landscape Architect's
opinion, lines can be installed safely and backfill can be compacted properly
into such tunnel.
E. Remove boulders and other interfering objects, backfill voids remaining
after removal or objects.
F. Protection or Persons and Property,
I. Barricade and operate warning lights from dusk to dawn at open holes, trenches, and
depressions occurring as part or work on property adjacent to or within public access.
2. Protect structures, utilities, sidewalk pavement, and other facilities from damage
caused by settlement, lateral movement, washout, and other hazards created by work
3. Do not trerch under drip lines or existing trees.
G. Do not backfill trenches until required pressure and leakage
tests have been performed, and until systems as installed conform to
requirements specified in pertinent Sections of Specifications.
H. Prior to backfilling, remove all sreeting or sroring.
I. Backfill for all trenches and excavations shall be compacted to ~I:?% density.
J. Backfill to level or adjacent elevations, allowing for settling and compaction.
3.5 INSTALLATION OF FIF!tlt1
A Piping under pavement,
I. Sleeve piping under paved areas as indicated on Drawings. Extend sleeving
12' under beyond edge or paving, curbs, walls, etc.
B. Inspection or materials, Garefull8 inspect pipe and fitting before
installation, removing all dirt, scale and burrs, reaming as required.
Install pipe with markings up for visual inspection.
C. Plastic IPVCJ pipe:
I. Exercise care in handling, loading, unloading and storing plastic pipe and
fittings,
a. Store under cover from direct sunlight until ready to install,
b. Transport only on a vehicle with a bed long enough to allow \re pipe to lay
flat to avoid undue bending and concentrated external load.
2. Repair dented and damaged pipe by cutting out and discarding dented or
damaged sections, rejoining with a coupling.
3. In joining, use only specified solvent, make joints in accordance with
marufacturer's recommendations. Pipe and fittings sha II be thoroughly cleaned of
dirt, dust, moisture before applying solvent. Clean off excess solvent. Allow
solvent welds at least 15 minutes set-up time before moving or handling and 24
rours curing time before filling with water.
4. Snake lines from side to side in trench to allow for expansion and
contraction.
5. For plastic to metal connections,
a. Work steel connections first,
b. Use a non-hardening pipe dope on tlTeaded plastic to steel connections,
c. Use only a light wrerch pressure.
d. Use Joint compound on galvanized iron fillings.
D. Flug or cap all openings upon line installation to prevent tre entrance or
materials that would obstruct pipe. Leave in place until removal is necessary for
completion or installation.
E. Troroughly flush all lines, perform hydrostatic testing in accordance with
paragraph below.
3.& INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT
A. Fop-up spray heads,
I. Install where indicated on Drawings and in accordance with details and
manufacturer's recommendation as approved by Landscape Architect.
2. Locate pop-up 3' from pedestrian paving, 12' from automobile traffic without
curbs,&' from auto traffic with curbs and&' from all building and wall footings
unless noted otherwise. Set reads flush to grade elevation.
4. Upon testing completion, complete assembly, adjust sprinkler heads for proper
distribution.
B. Riser heads,
I. Install in planting areas where indicated on Drawings.
2. Locate slTub reads 1(1) feet from pedestrian use areas, 1(1)' from automobile traffic
without curbs, 1(1)' from automobile traffic with curbs and&' from all building and
wall footings unless noted otherwise. Set &!Tub reads eighteen (18' J incres
above finish grade unless noted otherwise. /See details.! Fop-up heads shall
be used within 1(1)' or any pedestrian use.
3. Upon completion or testing, contractor shall complete assembly and adjust
sprinkler heads for proper distribution.
C. Valves, Install ball valves and quick coupler valves per drawings.
D. Control valves, Install wrere shown on Drawings, locating in clusters in
planting areas where practical. Place no closer than 12' and parallel to walk
edges, buildings and walls. House in valve boxes with tops set flush to grade.
E. Not Used (Drip Irrigation!
F. Backflow preventer, Install where indicated on Drawings and in accordance
with all pertinent codes, regulations, and manufacturer's recommendations as
approved by Landscape Architect. CMWD backflow specialist must approve installation.
G. Automatic controller,
I. Install controller as srown on Drawings, unless otrerwise directed by
Landscape Architect.
2. Connect remote control valves to controller in sequence corresponding to
s139uence indicated on Drawings. Where two or more valves have same rumber,
wire them togetrer at controller. Do not group lawn and shrub heads on same
station.
3. Electrical supply to point of C011nection shall be by otrers. Contractor shall
provide 'hard wire' splice into existing junction box near controller location.
H. Automatic control wiring,
I. Install control wires, irrigation mains and laterals in common trenches wherever
possible.
2. Install control wires at least 18' below finish grade and lay to side or mainline
wrere possible. Wires shall be a minimum or I' from any pipe or fitting except at
terminal points. Provide looped slack at valves and snake wires in trench to
allow for contraction of wire. Tie wire in bundles at 1(1)' intervals with plastic
electrical tape.
3. Wire splices will be allowed only on runs more than 500 feet. Crimp wires
togetrer with approved wire connector and seal connection.
4. Provide separate sleeving from irrigation lines for control wires beneath
pavement, etc.
5. Wires shall be placed in grey scredule W PVC electrical sleeve from 18'
below grade to controller at C011troller location.
3.1 TEST!tlt1 AND IN5FECTION
A Do not allow or cause any of work or this Section to be covered up or
enclosed until It has been inspected, tested± approved by Landscape Architect
and City Inspector. Request presence or Landscape Architect at lea&t twenty-four
/24J hours in advance or testing.
El. Flushing of pipe, Before backfilling mainline, with control valves placed but
before lateral lines are C011neCted, completely flush and test mainline.
I. Repair leaks.
2. Flush out each section or lateral pipe before sprinkler heads are attacred.
C. Testing,
I. Make necessary provisions to thoroughly bleed line of air and debris.
2. After valves have been installed, wren welded plastic joints have cured for
at least 24 hours, te&t main water line, for leak; at pre,&ure or 125 psi for
period or four rours, with couplings exposed and pipe sections centerloaded
with sufficient amount or backfill to prevent arching or slipping under pressure.
Lateral lines shall be tested, with risers capped, for two rours under normal
static pressure.
3. Provide required testing equipment and personnel.
4. Repair leaks, retest until acceptance by Landscape Architect and
City Inspector.
D. Final inspection, Clean, adjust, balance all s~tems. Verify,
I. Heads are properly adjusted for radius and arc of coverage±
2. Installed sy,tem is workable, clean, efficient.
3. Recycled water systems, Provide cross connection, coverage, and otrer testing
required by helath department or water district /see Reclaimed Water Notes, Sheet T-IJ.
3.8 Recycled water signage
Install as shown on drawings or as required by health departmert or water district.

FART 3 -EXECUTION
3.1 Inspection
A. Examine areas to receive soil preparation to assure work of other
trades has been completed.
B. Verif~ grades with Landscape Architect prior to beginning soil
preparation.
C. No soil preparation shall be performed until all structures and walls and
construction items /including irrigation mains and drainage lines) have been
installed.
D. The site shall be free of weeds, trash and deleterious materials prior to
soil preparation. ·
E. Verif~ that plants to remain have been undisturbed.
F. Do not proceed with soil preparation until unsatisfactor~ conditions are
corrected.
32 SOILS TEST RESULTS
A. After rough grading, soil samples shall be taken from enough locations
on the site to represent an adeq1.1ate cross section of conditions.
B. Soil test shall be performed b~ a soil testing laborator~ (pre-approved
b~ the Cit~). The test shall indicate but not be limited to the following,
organic matter, N,F,K, pf.!, EC, soil texture( silt, cla~, sand!, recommendations for
amendments, leaching, and maintenance fertilizations.
C. The results and recomendations of the soil testing laborator~ shall be
submitted to and approved b~ the Cit~. The approved recommendations for
amendments and backfill shall be incorporated into the landscape plans
prior to the start of construction and shall become partof the approved plans.

33 PERFORMANCE
A. Subsoil:
I. Scarif~ subsoil in all areas to be planted to depth of 6 inches prior to
placement of topsoil. The soil shall be made loose and friable.
2. Remove rocks and other objects over 2 inches diameter.
B. Topsoil:
I. In areas scheduled for seeding or sodding of lawn place topsoil from
stockpile to minimum depth of 4 inches over all areas.
2. In areas scheduled for ornamental groundcovers, place topsoil to 2 inch
3. Do not place topsoil on slopes exceeding 3:1 gradient.
C. Incorporation of Soil Amendments:

where plants are slow to establish. If Contractor fails \o make replacements

2.1 PLANT QUANTITIES AND TYPES
A. Flan\ materials shall be furnished in quantities and/or spacing as shown,
or noted for each location, and shall be of species, kinds, sizes, etc., as
s~mbolized and/or described in Flan\ Legend on Drawings.
22 PLANT MATERIAL STANDARDS
Plant material indicated on Drawings and herein specified shall conform to
following,
A. Nomenclature, Flan\ names listed in Plant Legend conform to 'Standard
Plant Names' established b~ American Joint Committee on f.!orticullural
Nomenclature, except for names not covered herein, with which custom of
nurser~ is followed.
B. Condition: Plants shall be s~mmetrical, t~pical for varie\~ and species,
sound, healt~, vigorous, free from plan\ disease, insect pests or eggs, shall
have heal\~, normal root systems± well filling their containers, bu\ not to
point of being root bound. Plants shall no\ be pruned prior \o delivery,

topped before delivery.
C. Dimensions: f.!eight and spread of plant material shall be measured with
branches in normal position and shall be as indicated on Drawings. caliper

D. Inspection: All plant materials shall be subject \o inspection and

F. Sizes of plants, Shall be as stated in Flan\ Legend. Container stock (I,

FART 3 -EXECUTION
3.1 PLANTING -GENERAL
A. Relative position of all trees and plants is subject to approval b~
Landscape Architect and t~ shall, if necessar~, be relocated as directed
as part of contract.
B. Plant pits shall be minimum width 2x larger than root ball. If percolation
is such that water will not drain from hole overnight, Contractor shall take
caution not to over water plants.
C. Plants sha II be set so that, when settled, the~ bear same relation to
r~uired grade as t~ bore to natural grade before being transplanted.
Each plant shall be planted in center of pit, backfilled with prepared soil±
unless otherwise specified. No soil in mudd~ condition sha II be used on
backfilling. No filling will be permitted around trunks or stems. All broken or
fra~ed roots shall be proper!~ cul off.
D. Plants shall not be allowed to dr~ out before or while being planted.
Keep exposed roots moist b~ means of we\ sawdust, pea\ moss, of burlap a\
all times during plant operations± do not expose to air except while being
placed in ground. Wilted plants, whether in place or not, will not be
accepted and shall be replaced at Contractor's expense.
E. Landscape Architect shall make periodic inspections during planting.

32 PLANTING OF TREE&
A. Specimen trees sha II be approved b~ the Landscape Architect within
30 da~s of \he award of contract or 48 hours before deliver~, whichever
comes first. An~ specimen trees delivered to \he job-site damaged or
changed from the wril\en approval are subject lo rejection.
B. No trees 15 gallons and over shall be planted in a hole that
will not naturall8 drain overnight after having been half-filled with
water. Tes ls sha II be conducted \o make this determination and
Landscape Architect notified of this condition prior to planting.
C. All specimen, occurring in sodded or ground cover areas shall be
planted before final preparation of those areas.

A. All vines shall be removed from stakes, untied, and securely fastened in

SOD PLANTING
A. Remove rocks, weeds, debris from areas \o be sodded. Work up soil to a
depth of 6 inches and break up all clods.
f3. Careful!~ smooth all surfaces to be sodded. Roll area \o expose soil
depressions or surface irregularities. Regrade as required.
C. Spread turf fertilizer, 16-20-0 (or similar) onto soil even!~ at a rate of I lb.
per 100 sq. ft. of lawn area. Rake in lightl~. Be sure soil is level and smooth
before laying sod. Do not la~ sod onto bone dr~ soil.
D. La~ first strip of sod slabs along a straight line. Use a siring in irregular
areas. Butt joints tightl~, do no\ overlap edges. On second strip, stagger joints
much as in la~ing masonr~. Use a sharp l<J,ife to cul sod to fil curves, edges, sprinkler
heads.
E. Do no\ la~ whole lawn before watering. Ulren a proper~ large area has been
sodded, water lightl~ \o prevent drBing. Continue to lay sod, and to waler until
ins\a Ila ti on is complete.
F. After la~ing sod, roll lightl~ to eliminate irregularities and to form good
contact between sod and soil. Avoid heav~ roller or excessive initial watering
which may cause roller marks. ,
G. Water the completed ins\a llation thoroughly. C8cle irrigation \o achieve
saturation to 8' deep. Repeat irrigation at intervals necessar~ to maintain moist soil
until lawn is rooted into substrate. After sod is established, decrease frequenc~
and increase amount of water per application as necessary.
f.!. Replace all dead or dying sod with same variey of material as original!~ installed.
3.5 FERTILIZER
A. Install chip l~pe Fertilizer Tablets per the planting notes.
3h WATER BASINS
A. Prepare raised water basin as wide as plant balls at each plant. Water
thorough!~, backfilling an~ voids with additional prepared planting mix. Do
not basin flat sized plants. Remove all basins prior to planting of lawn and
ground cover.
3.1 MULCf.!
A. Contractor \o install 3' thick la~er of slTeaded nitrolized redwood bark
mulch in a II non-turf areas less steep than 3: I. 5ubmil mulch sample \o Cit~
Inspector and Landscape Architect for approval prior to bulk deliver~ to job site.
3.8 WATERI~:
A. Immediate!~ after planting, water shall be applied to each tree, shrub
and vine, b~ means of a hose. The water shall be applied in a moderate
stream in the planting holes and until the material about the roots is moist
from the bottom of the hole lo \he top of the ground.
B. Following the planting of ground cover plants, furnished in flats, each
plant shall be immediate!~ and thoroughly watered.
C. Plants not efficient!~ watered with existing waler s~s\em, sha II be
watered with hose.
D. Appl~ waler in sufficient quantities, and as often as seasonal conditions
r~uire to keep the ground moist at all times \o the depth of \re root
s~s\em of grass and plants.
3.9 PROTECTION
Contractor shall carefull8 and continuously protect areas included in
contract± including plant materials, fences, supports, etc., until final
acceptance b~ Landscape Architect.
3.10 CLEAN LIP
Upon completion of Work in this Section, remove rubbish, trash, and debris
resulting from operation. Remove disused equipment and implements of
service and leave entire area involved in a neat acceptable condition such
as to meet approval of Landscape Architect.
3.11 MAINTENANCE
A. Maintain all planting areas in a vigorous, thriving condition b~ watering,
cultivating, sprafng, washing off walks, and a~ other necessar~ operations
during the entire period of installation and until final acceptance bB
Landscape Architect.
B. calendar, Maintenance period shall be calculated from final
acceptance b8 Landscape Architect.
C. Improper maintenance which may cause the poor condition of planted
material at termination of the scheduled contract pe-iod will cause
postponement of final acceptance of work. Maintenance of all areas shall
continue at no additional cos\ to Owner until all work is accepted.
D. All areas shall be kepi free of debris and all areas shall be weeded
and cultivated at intervals of no\ more than ten /10) da~ after an~ area has
been completed.
E. The Landscape Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining
ad~uale protection of all areas. Damaged areas shall be repaired
immediate!~ al the Landscape Contractor's expense.
F. Post fertilize all areas after thirl~ (30) and nine\~ (W) da~s of
maintenance with lwenl~ (20) pounds per 1,000 square feet of post-planting
fertilizer.
G. After thirt8 (30) da~s, all weeds shall be removed b~ hand after
watering \o assure root removal. Application of D~mid and Treflan or equal
pre-emergence weed control shail be applied when in opinion of Landscape
Architect project is infested with weed seed and further weeding will
become an unnecessar8 burden lo Owner.
f.!. Contractor shall call for an inspection after each thirl~ (30) da~s of
ma in\enance.
I. Maintenance shall continue for period specified on Planting Noles.
