Mr. Wermers:
As requested, Construction Testing & Engineering, Inc. (CTE) has performed the necessary
observation and testing of fill materials during recent earthworks at the subject site. This letter is
provided as certification that the recent fill placement has been conducted in substantial
conformance with the recommendations specified in the approved project soils report referenced
herein. Fill placement and associated observation and testing was generally performed on the
western parking portion and associated north and south entrances (i.e., Phase 1 area) of the
subject site.
Field-testing of the compacted material in the noted areas was also performed in accordance with
ASTM D-6938 (nuclear method). Results of the field-testing indicate that fill materials were
compacted to a minimum of 90 of the laboratory maximum dry density as determined by test
method ASTM D-1557. Tabulated results of the field compaction testing performed are
provided in the attached Table I, "Compaction Test Summary". The laboratory maximum
density results are provided in Table II, "Laboratory Test Results."
This letter is subject to the same limitations as other CTE geotechnical documents submitted for
the subject property.
