An update letter is required if the report is more than 3 years old. If a room addition is less than 1000 sq. ft. in area and only one story, then a soils report is not required. Under this condition, Esgil staff should advise the City (upon final transmittal) to place their "soils notice" stamp on the plans. II. Unable to locate grade beam Fc or design in the plans and calculations. Please show existing header size on the plans. What design was used the calculations are for a cantilevered column and the plans show a grade beam? . ENERGY CONSERVATION Using Tables 7-1, 3-1 & 3-2 please complete the attached CF-1 R forms sheets 1-3 and imprint on the plans. Specify on the building plans all of the mandatory energy conservation requirements as listed on the enclosure titled, "Mandatory Measures Checklist" and imprint the completed form on the plans. Provide fluorescent general lighting (40 lumens per watt minimum) in kitchen(s) and bathrooms (containing a tub or shower). Note on the plans: "The manufactured windows shall have a label attached certified by the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) and showing compliance with the energy calculations." . MISCELLANEOUS Where is the attic conversion mentioned on the application on the plans? Provide details, plans and calculations if necessary. To speed up.the review process, note on this list (or a copy) where each correction item has been addressed, i.e., plan sheet, note or detail number, calculation page, etc The jurisdiction has contracted with Esgil Corporation located at 9320 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, California 92123; telephone number of 858/560-1468, to perform the plan review for your project. If you have any questions regarding these plan review items, please contact Bryan Zuppiger at Esgil Corporation. Thank you. In our opinion any tendons crossing the section to be removed must be located. The slab section should be carefully chipped out with out damaging the tendons. After the utilities have been relocated the sub-grade, plastic sheet, sand and the concrete slab section should be replaced. Our recommendations are to replace the slab with the concrete strength indicated on the structural plans. Mark, if we can be of any further assistance in this matter, please don't hesitate to call. Very truly yours, SENE) STRUCTUW DESIGN, INC. -" -Cbris R. Deetz CRD/dw
