12. THE INSTALLATION AND TESTING OF TIEBACK ANCHORS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS
OF THE POST-TENSIONING MANUAL, THE PROCEDURES HEREIN AND SHALL BE PERFORMED UNDER
CONTINUOUS INSPECTION AND APPROVAL OF THE SOILS ENGINEER.
13. INSTALLATION & TESTING OF THE GRADE BEAMS, TIEBACKS SHALL BE PERFORMED UNDER
CONTINUOUS SPECIAL INSPECTION.
14 ALL INSPECTION SERVICES, MATERIAL TESTING OR NOTIFICATIONS SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY
OF THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR.
15. ALL PERMITS (EXCEPT OSHA PERMIT) SHALL BE PROCURED AND PAID FOR BY THE

TIEBACK TESTING
1. PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF 2 VERIFICATION TEST TIEBACKS TO 133% OF THE DESIGN LOADS. COORDINATE
LOCATION & TEST CONDITIONS WITH THE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER OF RECORD.
2. PERFORMANCE TEST 5% OF THE PRODUCTION TIEBACKS (2 TIEBACKS MINIMUM) TO 133% OF THE DESIGN
LOADS, ACCORDING TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE POST TENSIONING INSTITUTE (PTI).
3. PROOF TEST 1 00% OF THE PRODUCTION TIEBACKS TO THE LOADS SHOWN IN THESE PLANS, ACCORDING

Special Inspection is not a substitute for inspection
by a City Inspector.
1. Structural Observation does not include or waive
the responsibility for the inspections required by
the CBC.
b. Continuous inspection is always required during the per-
formance of the work unless otherwise specified. When
work in more than one category of work requiring
special inspection is to be performed simultaneously, or
the geographic location of the work is such that it can-
not be continuously observed in accordance with the pro-
visions of the CBC, it is the agent's responsibility to
employ a sufficient number of inspectors to assure that
