CALL TO ORDER: 6 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Fabiano, Stanley, Ashton, Harris, Sardina, Arndt. Commissioner Cadwallader joined
the meeting at 6:02 p.m.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Vice Chair Stanley led the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There were no public speakers for non-agenda public comment.
PUBLIC HEARING:
1. PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE COMPOSITION AND BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY'S DISTRICTS
— That the Independent Redistricting Commission hold a public hearing and receive public
comment regarding the composition and boundaries of the City's districts. (Staff Contact:
Faviola Medina, City Clerk's Office)
National Demographics Corporation (NDC) representative Shannon Kelly reviewed a
PowerPoint presentation (on file in the Office of the City Clerk).
Chair Fabian° opened the public hearing at 6:18 p.m.
Hearing no one wishing to speak, Chair Fabian° closed the duly noticed Public Hearing at 6:19
p.m.
STAFF AND COMMITTEE MEMBER REQUESTS FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS:
Chair Fabian() announced the upcoming Mapping Workshops to be held on Oct. 23 at 10 a.m.
and 2 p.m. He also reminded the public of the next Independent Redistricting Commission
Regular Meeting to be held on Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. and the next Public Hearing to be held on Nov.
13 at 10 a.m.
In response to Commissioner Cadwallader's inquiry, NDC representative Kelly explained that the
prisoner adjusted state data was just released and that NDC would have the final data available
in approximately two weeks.
In response to Commissioner Cadwallader's inquiry, Communications & Engagement Director
Kristina Ray explained that the survey data would be included in the agenda packet for the
Independent Redistricting Commission Regular Meeting to be held on Oct. 28.

ADJOURNMENT: Chair Fabiano adjourned the duly noticed meeting at 6.128 p.m.
