Welcome to the Carlsbad Tourism Business Improvement District Advisory Board
Meeting
We welcome your interest and involvement in the city's legislative process. This agenda includes information
about topics coming before the CTBID Advisory Board and the action recommended. You can read about each
topic in the reports, which are available on the city website. The City Clerk is also available to answer any
questions you have about CTBID Advisory Board meeting procedures.
How to Participate
• Per State of California Executive Order N-29-20, and in the interest of public health and
safety, we are temporarily taking actions to prevent and mitigate the effects of the COVID-
19 pandemic by holding CTBID meetings electronically or by teleconferencing.
• CTBID Board meeting can be watched via livestream or replayed on the city website at
http://www.carlsbadca.gov.

• You can participate in the meeting by e-mailing your comments to Cheryl Gerhardt at
cheryl.gerhardt@carlsbadca.gov prior to commencement of the agenda item. Your comment will be
transmitted to the CTBID Advisory Board at the start of the agenda item.
• If you desire to have your comment read into the record at the CTBID Advisory Board meeting, please
indicate so in the first line of your e-mail and limit your e-mail to 500 words or less.
Reasonable Accommodations

one motion as listed. There will be no separate discussion on these items prior to the vote, unless an item is

1. APPROVE MINUTES OF JULY 7. 2021
To approve the minutes of the July 7, 2021 meeting ofthe CTBID Advisory Board.
REPORTS AND DISCUSSION ITEMS:
2. STAFF REPORT
Staff will provide the following reports at this time:
a) Financial update -Cheryl Gerhardt
b) Visit Carlsbad CEO recruitment update
3. CTBID GRANT FUNIDNG RECOMMENDATIONS
Adopt Resolution approving the 2021-22 CTBID Grant funding as recommended by the Visit
Carlsbad Board and appropriating funds to the organizations identified.
4. NEXT MEETING OCTOBER 13. 2021
a) Visit Carlsbad quarterly report

PUBLIC COMMENT: In conformance with the Brown Act and California Executive Order No. N-29-20, members may
