The conclusions and. recommendations of the Preliminary Geotechnical Investigation Report and Supplemental Reports remain valid and should be implemented during the design and construction. phases. Sidewalk and Driveway Design Impervious concrete (PCC) is acceptable for the sidewalk from a geotechnical. viewpoint. The driveway should be a minimum of 5.5 inches thick and reinforced with No. 3 bars placed 18 inches on center each way. The sidewalk in the drive area should be a minimum of 5.5 inches thick and reinforced as indicated above. Pervious Pavement Sections The pervious pavement section recommended in the Preliminary Geotechnical. Investigation Report is suitablefor the anticipated light traffic load. However, the manufactures specifications for the type of payers selected should be followed for actual construction P.O.
