This letter has been prepared to indicate that LGC Valley, Inc. (LGC) is now the geotechnical consultant of record for the
Robertson Ranch West, Carlsbad Tract No. 13-03 project located in Carlsbad, California. As a result, LGC assumes the
responsibility within our purview as the geotechnical consultant for the project as of the date of this letter. Prior to
proceeding with our geotechnical services on this project, we reviewed the available and pertinent geotechnical reports and
documents for the site that were prepared by GeoSoils. Based on our review of the reports, we generally accept the
conclusions and recommendations of the reports. However, additional geotechnical recommendations were provided by us
during the course of our geotechnical and environmental of the site (LGC, 2014). It is our professional opinion that the
subject site is suitable for its intended residential and commercial use provided the findings, opinions, conclusions, and
recommendations presented in our referenced report are incorporated into the design and construction of the site improvements.
