During shipment, storage, installation and use, this material must not be exposed to ope n flame or other ignition source. Whe n installed, it must be protected by suita ble therma l barrier. This requirement includ~s use in basements, garages, crawl spaces. Adequate clearance around sources of heat shall be provided. Do not use in direct contact with chimneys, heater vents, steam pipes, or where surfaces could reach high temperatures or which could provide long term exposure to temperatures over 212F. (1 00-C). ,- -Z, (,? -' ('fJ The chart above shows the R-value of this insulation. 'R' means resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value the greater the insulating power. Compare insulation R-values before you buy. There are other factors to consider. The amount of insulation needed depends mainly on the climate you live in. Also, your fuel savings from insulation will depend upon the climate, the type and size of your house, the amount of in sulation already in your house -and your fu el use patterns and family size. If you buy too much insulation it will cost you more than what you'll save on fuel. To get the marked R-value it is essential that this insulation be installed properly. If you do it yourself, get instructions and follow them carefully. !Pill§ POLYMER® BUILDING SYSTEMS, INC. 6918/6942 Gage Street, Riverside, CA 92504 Telephone714/687-7070 orTWX910 332 1250 Approved 12/81 2500 ASPHALT SHINGLE STARTER STRIP TILE ROOF ROOFING H .''-4'x 8' PiJS/COO/L75 YOr? in~ ..
