Final As-Graded Soils Report And Amendment to Geotechnical Engineering Observations And
Compaction Testing Report Dated March 25, 2022 , 3357 Adams Street, Carlsbad, California

~ accordance with your request we have revisited the site and observed the completed PCC
driveway construction at the above-referenced project site. The approximate limits of the
subsequently completed PCC driveway the property are delineated on the enclosed Approximate
Compaction Tests Location Map, Figure 1.
Remainder of the project remedial pad grading for new building addition and covered carport were
performed under engineering observations and compaction testing services intermittently provided
by this office from August 2, 2021 through February 14, 2022. A summary report of our
geotechnical engineering observations and compaction testing, entitled "Report of Geotechnical
Engineering Observations And Compaction Testing, Remedial Pad Grading For New Building
Addition And Covered Carport, 3357 Adams Street, Carlsbad, California 92008 (Project No.
PD2021-0033, Drawing No. 533-2A)," dated March 25, 2022 was prepared and submitted. The
referenced report is on file with our firm and copies can be obtained upon request. The approximate
locations of compaction tests are transferred and are shown on attached Figure 1. Field compaction
test results are tabulated in the Compaction Test Results table, included as Figure 3 in the referenced
report.
The subsequent PCC driveway construction was completed prior to our recent site visit and
destructive testing will be required to perform subgrade compaction testing. However, based on the
photos and information provided to us, PCC driveway construction procedure consisted of
preparations and compaction of the subgrade soils and placing a minimum 6 inches of compacted
Class 2 base materials. The PCC section apparently consisted on minimum 6 inches thick concrete
reinforced with #4 bars placed at 16 inches on centers each way.
