The best choice for applications with open plates or open containers. Mechanical convection provides even higher temperature uniformity and stability to ensure an optimal environment for your samples. Fan enables fast recovery time after opening the door. A mechanical convection incubator can even be used for drying applications at high temperature settings – eliminating the need for an additional oven. Dual convection is a unique technology which allows the operator to choose the fan speed – from 0% (which equals gravity convection) up to 100%. Depending on the application, the speed can be adapted to provide optimal airflow for your valuable samples. Even at 0% fan speed, temperature uniformity and stability are great. Note: All units have doors with 180° door opening for easy access. Gravity convection provides gentle airflow, with minimized drying out of samples. Providing 29 cubic feet of capacity in a convenient upright configuration, it lets you efficiently: • culture and store large volumes of patient or clinical samples • perform short-term growth studies • grow large-volume products requiring precise incubation Our Large Capacity Reach-In CO2 incubators also provide elevated relative humidity levels to prevent product desiccation in medium- term cultures, and maintain temperature uniformity even when cell rollers, shakers and other equipment are installed in the chamber. Tight Temperature Uniformity for Superior Results – by Design Temperature uniformity is absolutely critical for optimal culturing. Our Large Capacity Reach-In incubators deliver consistent temperature uniformity and recovery even with large product loads and low output, heat-generating equipment in the chamber. Our unique directed horizontal laminar airflow system uses positive and negative pressures to direct air across the entire shelf surfaces, assuring a consistent flow of conditioned air for maximum temperature uniformity. Unlike competitive units, the air feed plenum cannot be accidentally blocked by the chamber contents, leading to temperature variations that can damage the chamber’s contents. Our unique directed airflow design minimizes the risk of sample damage when the chamber is fully loaded. Chromatography Refrigerators The chromatography refrigerator is equipped with a safety circuit. In the event the safety circuit is tripped (the safety sensor senses a flammable gas), the power to the internal outlet will be discontinued and the user will need to manually reset the safety circuit assembly using the reset switch at the right side of header panel before power is restored. To do this, toggle the switch located on the top right side of the header panel beside the remote alarm contacts. There will be a power delay to the outlet for approximately 4 minutes where the red LED will be illuminated. When power is available at the outlet, the red LED will turn off and the green LED will illuminate. If the circuit trips from RED back to GREEN repeatedly or never turns GREEN, please contact Customer Service. Flammable materials should not be stored in the refrigerator. Lights The GFCI outlet assembly is located inside the unit back in the center. The outlet assembly has two LEDs: • RED (on the top) - When the red LED is ON, it indicates there is no power to the AC outlet inside the unit. • GREEN (on the bottom) - When the green LED is ON, it indicates there is power to the AC outlet inside the unit. Switches The Chromatography refrigerators has a reset switch on the right side of the header panel, above remote alarm contacts. • Chromatography Manual Reset: This is used to manually reset the safety circuit in the AC receptacle assembly after the LED turns RED from GREEN due to a safety trip event which disengages power to outlet inside the refrigerator. It is present on the right side top front corner next to the remote alarm contacts. Wiring The wiring diagram for the units is shown in Figure 2. CAUTION: Connect the equipment to the correct power source. Incorrect voltage can result in severe damage to the equipment. CAUTION: For personal safety and trouble-free operation, this unit must be properly grounded while in use. Failure to ground the equipment may cause personal injury or damage to the equipment. Always conform to the National Electrical Code and local codes. Do not connect the unit to overloaded power lines.CBC2020-0272 SET I 7/14/2020 FLAME CABINET TOOL ID: 115.05 RM. 115 CBC2020-0272 SET I 7/14/2020 Justrite 893020 Sure-Grip EX Flammable Safety Cabinet, Capacity 30 Gallons, 1 Shelf, 2 Self-Close Doors, Yellow Manufacturer Part Number(s): 893020 Manufacturer: Justrite Estimated Shipping Time: In Stock - Ships Within 24 Hours SKU Justrite-893020 Click here to request a quote on bulk, corporate and government orders or freight quotes on large items. Fail-safe closing mechanism ensures three-point stainless steel bullet latching CBC2020-0272 SET I 7/14/2020 system works every time. For added security, U-Locâ„¢ handle comes with a cylinder lock and key set or accepts an optional padlock. Haz-Alertâ„¢ reflective warning labels are highly visible under fire conditions or during power outages when illuminated with a flashlight. Patented SpillSlope® galvanized steel shelves direct spills to back and bottom of a leakproof 2” (51-mm) bottom sump. They adjust on 3” (76-mm) centers for versatile storage. Cabinets also feature dual vents with flame arresters, four adjustable self-leveling feet, grounding connector, and trilingual warning label. Durable lead-free epoxy/polyester powder-coat finish provides excellent chemical resistance. Manual-close door(s) opens to a full 180 degrees and self-latches when pushed closed. Self-close door(s) shuts and latches automatically when a fusible link melts at 165°F (74ºC) under fire conditions. Unique, concealed self-closing mechanism offers obstruction-free access to contents. All door styles meet OSHA and NFPA 30; self-close door styles also meet NFPA 1 and the International Fire Code. Most cabinets are FM approved and all come with a ten-year warranty. Type C1 does both. Best of both worlds. It started with a request for a Type B2 biosafety cabinet (BSC) to connect into an exhaust system with insufficient airflow. A B2 was required because the application involved high volumes of volatile chemical vapors. At the same time, the BSC’s ductwork had to be shared with other cabinets. No such BSC existed. Could we combine the chemical safety capabilities of a Type B with the flexibility of a canopy-exhaust Type A2? A Type A cabinet conserves energy because it recirculates HEPA-filtered air into the room. But it can’t protect you from gaseous chemicals because vapors pass freely through the exhaust HEPA filter. When a Type A BSC is canopy connected, only a percentage of air is exhausted. The remainder is recirculated and concentrated in the cabinet. Should an exhaust failure occur, these hazardous gases can enter the room. A Type B2 cabinet directly exhausts 100% of its air to the outside and can handle both fumes and vapors. But a B2 wastefully exhausts twice the air of an A2 and requires a dedicated exhaust blower to work properly. Both Type A and B cabinets lack flexibility and cannot be converted into another cabinet type, leaving you without future options if your exhaust needs change. Setting a new standard. The Type C1 Axiom bridges the gap between Type A and Type B BSCs. Only the Axiom is capable of handling every application. Three key features work together to make it possible: • Omni-Flex™ design • Chem-Zone™ work surface • Active Protection Protocol Maximum safety. Energy savings. Flexibility to adapt when your work changes. The Axiom has it all. Count on Labconco to get it right. CBC2020-0272 SET I 7/14/2020 Chem-Zone™ Work Surface Key to the Axiom is its unique work surface. The surface consists of three pieces—the Chem-Zone dished center and two flat sides. The surface layout promotes the proper technique of organizing your work flow from clean to dirty. The Chem-Zone middle gives you ample room to perform your critical operations while containing spills. The ends function as storage for consumables and waste. When the Axiom is in A mode (Figure 1), the filtered air is simply recirculated back into the lab. When operated in B mode (Figure 2), all chemical vapors and particulates generated from work in the Chem-Zone area are ensured a direct path to the exhaust filter. One hundred percent of air is exhausted to the outside. Inflow air at the front grille and air from either side of the Chem-Zone are recirculated to save energy. Table 1 outlines the lifetime savings of using Axiom versus a Type B2 BSC. The Chem-Zone reduces airflow demand, resulting in savings of more than 50%. Shown in orange, the Chem-Zone is dished and delineated by airflow slots. Chem-Zone provides the primary working area for critical operator actions. The surfaces on either side of the Chem-Zone serve as staging areas. Table 1 *Upfront installation costs include labor, ductwork, blower (where applicable) and electrical hook up. Lifetime maintenance costs include HEPA filters and annual certification. Lifetime operation cost is cost of exhausted air of $8/year/CFM for 15 years. 15 Year Costs*Type A2 Type A2 With Canopy Type B1 Type B2 Axiom Type C1 In A Mode In B Mode Upfront Installation $300 $400 $5,150 $5,150 $300 $400 Lifetime maintenance $4,500 $4,500 $4,500 $4,500 $4,500 $4,500 Lifetime operation N/A $40,500 $40,500 $87,000 N/A $42,000 ESTIMATED TOTAL COST $4,800 $45,400 $50,150 $96,650 $4,800 $46,900 Omni-Flex™ Design Unlike Type A and B cabinets, the Axiom can adapt as needs change. Omni-Flex allows for installation in recirculating Type A mode or in ducted Type B mode for use with hazardous vapors. If your applications change, simply connect or disconnect Axiom from exhaust. The Axiom can be tied into almost any existing building ventilation system with sufficient exhaust reserve. Unlike B cabinets, no costly remote blower and dedicated ductwork are required. The blower for a B cabinet must be oversized to account for an increase of 4.0" wg or greater as the exhaust HEPA filter loads. Because the total exhaust area of the Axiom is limited to the Chem- Zone, exhaust air volume is reduced to ≈40% of a B2. The Axiom’s dedicated exhaust blower delivers air to the building exhaust at ≈0.25" wc throughout the life of the cabinet. Table 1 shows the significantly lower upfront installation cost compared to a Type B1 or B2. 4 | labconco.com To switch from Type B to A, disconnect the cabinet from the ductwork and move the plate from the left side of the exhaust collar to the right. Use the LCD information center to program the cabinet for Type A mode and recertify. To switch from Type A to B, connect the cabinet to ductwork, move the plate from the right side to the left side and recertify. Purifier® Axiom® Type C1 Biosafety Cabinets Features & Benefits CBC2020-0272 SET I 7/14/2020 Room Air HEPA-Filtered Air Unfiltered Air Under Negative Pressure Unfiltered Air Under Positive Pressure Figure 1 - Type A mode When operated in Type A mode, room air is drawn into the inlet grille and directed below the plenum of the work surface where it mixes with air that has passed over the areas on either side of the Chem-Zone. This contaminated air mixture is drawn through the back plenum where it is recirculated through the supply HEPA filter and back over the work area. Air passing over the Chem-Zone is directed through the exhaust HEPA filter and returned to the room. Figure 2 - Type B mode When operated in Type B mode, 100% of the air passing over the Chem-Zone is directed through the exhaust HEPA filter and delivered to the ductwork where house exhaust can take over. Air passing over the areas on either side of the Chem-Zone is recirculated through the cabinet. Directlyexhausted air Recirculated air Active Protection Protocol The Axiom’s dual ECM motors use Constant Airflow Profile™ (CAP) to ensure accurate and precise airflow. With CAP, the Axiom actively maintains airflow even during an exhaust failure. CAP knows that remote blower failure has occurred by detecting increasing exhaust system resistance (static pressure). This event triggers Active Protection Protocol, which maintains a safe inflow and downflow for up to five minutes (Figure 3). You have time to evacuate without risking exposure. Active Protection Protocol is capable of overcoming considerable static pressure while maintaining safe airflow (Table 2). The 4' Axiom can exceed a static pressure of 1.5" wc, which equates to 2,100' of straight 10" dia. duct. The 6' Axiom handles up to 1.0" wc, which equates to 650' of straight 10" dia. duct. 4' Axiom 6' Axiom 10" Diameter Duct Exhaust CFM*Equivalent Feet of Straight Duct Exhaust CFM*Equivalent Feet of Straight Duct 8" Sash Opening 283 3,250 423 1000 10" Sash Opening 354 2,100 529 650 *Exhaust volumes are for BSCs in Active Protection Protocol.
