A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROCURE ANY
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS WHICH HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
AND FOR WHICH THE CITY COUNCIL HAS BUDGETED OR OTHERWISE
APPROPRIATED FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad established a cafeteria plan ("the Plan") for
its employees and authorized the administration of the Plan by the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the Plan includes benefit programs approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved other benefit programs in memorandums of
understanding, compensation and benefit plans, and other documents; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager is responsible for implementing the City Council approved benefit
programs and procuring the associated employee benefits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to formalize the City Manager's employee benefit
procurement authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1.The above recitations are true and correct.
2.The City Manager or designee is authorized to procure any employee benefits which
have been approved by the City Council and for which the City Council has budgeted or
otherwise appropriated funds.
