We have completed field density testing during the recommended removal and recompacting of near surface soils. The soils were properly compacted and field density tests were taken to confirm 90% compaction. The underlying undisturbed formational strata consisted of semi cemented very dense Terrace Deposit. Foundation excavation dimensions were measured and found to be as follows-South 21" D x 34" W, West 25" D x 24" w, North 23" D x 32" w, East 23"D x 24" w. The approved plans indicate that the foundation was designed to the CBC minimum or 1,500 pounds bearing pressure. Current foundation excavations are larger than indicated . The bearing strata exposed In the foundation excavations consists of well compacted fill throughout and is suitable for the support of the intended structure.
