Recommended Action
Accept volunteers and appoint a new representative to the Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation
for FY 2022-23 and the Friends of the Carlsbad Library for FY 2022-23.
Executive Summary/Discussion
The work of the Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation is to financially support and help enhance
the Carlsbad libraries and arts facilities, programs, and events. This representative’s role would
be to attend the Foundation’s board meetings and then share items of interest and future
events sponsored by the Carlsbad Library & Arts Foundation with the rest of the Library Board
of Trustees.
The Friends of the Carlsbad Library is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to raising
funds to support Carlsbad City Library programs. This representative’s role would be to attend
the Friends’ board meetings and then share items of interest and future work and events
sponsored by the Friends of the Carlsbad Library with the rest of the Library Board of Trustees.
