Dear Keith Pitts, This final report presents the results of compaction testing performed for the subject project. We understand mass grading and initial site grading at the project site were previously performed under observation by others. Observation and testing for this project was performed for tenant improvements including pavements, utility trench backfills, curb & gutters, a generator pad, and loading dock levelers. Compaction tests were taken on the subject improvements on a periodic basis, as directed by your field representative during the period of July 1st, 2021, through April 15th, 2022. A field daily report was prepared by our soil’s technicians for each day of testing and a copy was provided to the jobsite superintendent. Field density testing was performed by first probing with T-handle steel probe, and then using direct transmission nuclear methods, ASTM D6938/D2950. The maximum density – optimum moisture relationship for the soil was established by our laboratory in accordance with ASTM D1557 test methods. In-place density tests indicated relative compaction was achieved in general conformance with the project specifications and referenced geotechnical report. Ryan Companies US, Inc. Approximate locations of in-place density test are presented in Figure 1. Appendix A presents the results of laboratory testing performed. Appendix B presents the results of field density tests performed. This report does not constitute certification of compaction of the subject improvements.
