Re: Use of liteweight concrete roof tile to reroof existing

Gentlemen:
This is to advise you that I have personally inspected the
subject roof structure and find it satisfactory for the support
of liteweight concrete roof tiles laid with a normal 3" headlap.
I have formed this professional opinion after gathering data and
analyzing the following information:
1. The structure was built about 1980 under the Uniform Building
Code and City of Carlsbad permits and inspections.
2. Existing roof support is prefabricated trusses and
conventional construction as follows:
Res: Truss A@ 24" spc'g, 32'0" spans.
Truss S@ 24" spc'g, 32'0" spans, w/cath'l ceiling.
Gar: 2x 8 @ 24" spc' g, 14' 6" max spans.
3. The roof pitch is 4:12 typical, cath'l ceiling underside 2:12.
