The purpose of this site visit was to observe the foundation excavations for the two proposed residential buildings. Our visual observations indicate that the footing excavations have been extended 18 inches below the surface of the compacted filled ground in conformance with our recommendations. It must be noted that any loose soil/debris inside the footing excavations will need to be cleaned immediately prior to placement of concrete. Moisture conditioning of the soils prior to placement of concrete should be performed in accordance with currently acceptable industry standards. Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact our office. Yours very truly, ALLIED GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERS, INC. ~¥1F Project Manager TJL/cb Distr. Based on our discussions regarding the subject matter, it is our understanding that you would like to retain our firm to provide the engineering observation and testing services during rough grading operations for the subject project. Should the actual soil conditions encountered during site grading differ substantially from those assumed in the GeoSoils, Inc. report, we will provide supplemental recommendations and/or modify the original recommendations presented in the aforementioned report.
