CALL TO ORDER: 2:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Hall, Blackburn, Bhat-Patel, Acosta, Norby.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CONCURRENT MEETINGS: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEM:

The following individuals called into the City Council Meeting and voiced their comment for the
record:
Diane Nygaard, representing North County Advocates, expressed her opposition to the
acquisition.
CLOSED SESSION:
City Attorney Celia Brewer read the City Council into Closed Session.
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 2:33 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, pursuant to Government
Code Section 54956.8.
PROPERTY: APN 209-060-61-00, Sunny Creek Specific Plan Area, northeast of the
intersection of El Camino Real and College Boulevard.
CITY NEGOTIATORS: Curtis Jackson, Real Estate Manager
NEGOTIATING PARTIES: Al Apuzzo, Lee & Associates
UNDER NEGOTIATION: Price and terms of payment
If circumstances necessitate the absence of a specified designated representative, an agent
or designee may participate in place of the absent representative so long as the name of the
agent or designee is announced at an open session held prior to the closed session.
Council Action: At 3 p.m., the City Council continued the Special Meeting to resume
immediately following the adjournment of the Regular City Council Meeting. Council
reconvened the Special Meeting at 7:32 p.m. No reportable action.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of Oct. 12, 2021 was adjourn
