1. Please make all corrections on the original tracings, as requested in the correction list.
Submit three sets of plans for commercial/industrial projects (two sets of plans for
residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of
two ways:
Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92009, (760) 602-2700.
The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering
and Fire Departments.

4. Specify how attaching bottom track to concrete i.e. size, spacing , length of shot pins
and or expansion bolts and ICBO/NER numbers. The plans are not reflecting size and
spacing of assume shot pins and approval numbers i.e. Hilti shot pins 0.138" by 1
1/4" at 32" oc with minimum ( ICBO 2388)
5. Specify minimum ½ " gap from top of track to bottom of trusses if applies. Could
not locate.
10. Is water heater being enclosed with walls? If so would need to show minimum 2' ft door
opening and how providing combustion air to unit. The door shown is 1 '1 O" door and
minimum required is 2 ft per UPC.

10. Is water heater being enclosed with walls? If so would need to show minimum 2'
ft door opening and how providing combustion air to unit.
11. If not enclosing water heater -the addition of walls will require that outside
combustion air be provided as room is not large enough to provide this now that
closed off.

12. Plans need to reflect the use of the additional rooms. If habitable then must
provide heat, insulation and energy calculations provided showing compliance
with current standards. Plans would need to show that light ,ventilation and
egress requirements have been meant with existing window. Fire wall would be
required to be shown extending to the roof sheathing and could not be used for
