AB No. Date: Sept. 4, 1973 City Manager's Recommendation Pursuant to previous actions of the City Council in approving the request for pre-annexation zoning on the Ayres property, the general plan amendment is appropriate and I recommend adoption. Council.Action -2- • • l RESOLUTION NO. 940 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL 3 ADOPTION OF LANO USE AMENDMENT N0.4, AM AMENDME~T TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN 4 (LA COSTA -AYRES) 5 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad 6 did on the 26th day of June, 1973, adopt Resolution of Intention 7, No. 93 to Amend the General Plan by adoptinq Land Use Amendment 8 No. 4, and; 9 WHEREAS, said Planning Commission did on the 24th day of 10 July., 1973, hold a duly advertised public hearing as prescribed 11, by law, to consider an amendment to the Gener~l Plan as follows: 12 "Adopting Land Use Amendment No. 4, {Residential Density Portion) 13 of the City of Carlsbad General Plan, specifjing that residential 14 densities be amended from the existinq residential estate low densi y 15 (0-2 du/ac.), residential low-density (3-7 du/ac.), tourist resort 16,I and neighborhood commercial to residential low density (0-5 du/ac.) it 17 1 and residential medium density (0-1() du/ac.)11 , on property qenerall_ 18 located between El Camino Real and Interstate-5, northerly of the 19 Batiquitos Lagoon and generally south of Palomar Airport Road, and 20 more particularly described as: 21 22 23 24 Being those portions of land in Sections 22, 26, 27, 28 and 35 in Township 12 South, Ranqe 4 West, San Bernardino Base & Meridian, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California. Whereas, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering 25 the testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to 26 be heard, said Commission did find the following facts and reasons 27 to exist which make the said amendment necessary to carry out the 28 intent of the General Plan: 29 30 31 ' 32 1. 2 . The requested amendment is consistent with the Land Use and density recommendation of the current General Plan. That the above recitations are true and correct. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 940 constitute the findings of the City Council. 3. That said Land Use Amendment No. 4 is hereby approved.
