Fire Hydrant Flow Test Results A waterilow test on the 16-inch main in El Camino Real was conducted by Schirmer Engineering. Refer to the attached water map showing the water main locations in the vicinity of the site and the location of the test. At the time of the test the water level in the elevated tank was unknown. The water department considers these to be normal conditions for this area. The results appear to be consistent with the distribution system and water supplies for the area. No impairment appears to be present. Based on our review it is our opinion that the submittal is in substantial conformance with the applicable codes and standards in force at this time, including local adopted ordinances. We had two minor comments. The reference to number of sprinklers in a system forcing electronic monitoring of the valves, should be 20, not 100, per California Fire Code § 903.4(2). The other was the NFPA- 13 section requiring an underground test certificate is § 10.10.1(3). Both items have been redlined on the plans. Further submittal should not be required.
