However, he also determined that the plans as shown would be considered “stacked copy” and not allowed per the sign program. Please let me know if you have any other questions. It is my understanding that the sign program does not state thata backer is allowed or prohibited. With that being said, I can see how the photos you have provided maybe proof of signs with a backer. Those signs in the photos may not be permitted or may benonconforming. At any rate, I can see how the section that you provided can be interpreted with“dissimilar materials and creating signs with varying colors”. Can you confirm on the sign program whichsign type standards you are following? I am happy to have a conversation with my supervisor and allowhim to take a look at the sign.
