Section 1210. 4. No habitable room, other than a kitchen, shall be less than 7'0" in any dimension. Section 1207 (c). 5. Show the ceiling height for habitable rooms is a minimum of 7'-6". Section 1207(a). 6. Note on the plans that receptacle outlet locations will comply with 1990 NEC Art. 210-52(a). 7. Per the calculations, note on the plans that the allowable soil bearing value directly below the slab on grade is 1000 psf per the architect. 8. Clarify the lower floor plan under the addition. Are there any lower floor openings under detail 5? If there are openings, indicate the opening width, header size, and all tributary floor and roof framing bearing on the header. 9. Detail 5 shows the new ledger to a 2x blocking connection, but does not clearly show the blocking connection to the existing T JI block (additional nails and/or screws are required because the webs are not usually very thick). 10. If the attic storage is a part of this permit, then provide the following: a) The stairs must comply with 3306 including width, rise, run, handrails, etc. b) Provide a section through the new space. c) Provide details for the new joist connections at all sides of the new floor. d) Provide complete structural plans showing existing bearing walls, openings at the first floor, all tributary floor and roof loading to the bearing walls, etc. e) Provide complete structural calculations for the storage loading per Table 23-A. Provide calculations for the lateral loading with the storage loads. Provide calculations for all connections. f) The attic storage will be completely rechecked. 12.
