Re: Drainage Report for Park Hyatt Aviara
CD 2019-0020, GR 2019-0043

David,
This letter is regarding the standard requirement to prepare a Drainage Report for Grading Plans.
The scope of this project is to refurbish and redevelop the existing function courtyard and pool
courtyard for the Hotel. The limits of work do not extent beyond the existing developed area.
Because the project disturbs more than 5,000 SF of surface area a SWQMP is required. Also, the
project will move more that 200 CY's of earth. Both of these facts trigger the need for a grading
permit. There is no change to the tributary area. The total disturbed area is 100,935 SF, and there
is a slight decrease in impervious area from 57,438 SF to 55,941 SF.
Because this project does not result in a changed drainage tributary area, does not increase the
area impacted by development, and does not increase impervious area, a new Drainage Report is
not warranted.
If you have any questions or require additional information regarding this matter, please do not
hesitate to contact me at (858) 554-1500.
/
Sincerely, QGFESS,S%.
