SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS:
PRIOR TO PERMIT PROCESSING, APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT ALL ITEMS BELOW: 1. Sign/Site Plans
Application for sign permits require plans be submitted consisting of a minimum of a title sheet, site plan and sign elevations containing the following information*:
1. Project Name 2. Site Address 3. Applicants contact information: Name, address, phone number and email 4. North arrow and scale.
5. Location of existing buildings or structures, parking areas, and vehicular access points to the property. For monument/ground mounted signs, provide location of the sign relative to existing
driveways, easements, objects, mature landscaping, and city right-of-way. 6. Location of all existing and proposed signs for the property. 7. Distance to the property line(s) for all proposed freestanding sign(s). 8. Provide an elevation for all proposed sign(s) which specifies the following:
A. Dimensions and area (square feet) for all existing and proposed sign(s). B. Materials and color the sign(s) will be constructed of. C. Type of mounting D. Source of Illumination, if any. E. Proposed sign copy (text/lettering/design of proposed sign).
*Additional supporting information may be required from applicant depending on standards, requirements, scope, design and/or property constraints. 2. Hi Adrian,
Thank you for submitting your application for a sign permit for Optum – PS2023-0079.
I’m writing to inform you of some revisions that are required for your submission.
Please find the details below:
1. Add the text: “See letter of authorization” to the Signature Line on the P-11 Permit application form, this clarifies
that you’ve submitted a Letter of Authorization (which I do see was uploaded by you in our system). This will
demonstrate that the P-11 has been filled out to completion and that necessary signature can be found in the
letter of authorization.
2. Indicate on site plan the total square footage of the building frontage and a calculation showing that the
proposed sign doesn’t exceed the “allowed 1 square foot of signage per lineal foot”, screenshot of the code
below:
3. Revise Plans to Remove the Interior Sign section (on the interior wall) ENTIRELY, as we do not regulate interior
signage. No mention of it should be on these Plans, or we’ll be unable to Approve due to our lack of regulation in
that area.
4. For the Monument Sign, Revise Plans to show the Sign Height calculated beginning from where the base of the
sign is in contact with the ground, demonstrating the sign does not exceed the maximum 6-ft height from that
point, rather than above the base of the sign as currently appears on the Plans (screenshot of the code below:
5. Also for the Monument Sign, change the proposed Letter Height to be in conformance with the code that states:
“Letter heights shall not exceed 12 inches.” As the Plans read currently the Letter Height for the Monument sign
appears to exceed 12-inches. (screenshot below:
