Subject: Our Appreciation for Your Continuing Fine Work for Carlsbad Seniors
We are pleased to send this letter of appreciation to each of you for the major contributions you
make toward improving the lives of our fellow seniors. The Carlsbad Senior Center has developed
and maintained its status as a premier Senior Center in California because of your daily work and your
obvious friendly, positive, and helpful attitudes. Our community is well served through your energies
and interests.
While this is a general letter in support of the total of efforts of the entire staff, we realize that
effective management and operation of an outstanding Senior Center is the product of a substantial
number of the specific individual actions for which you are responsible on a daily and weekly basis.
We will never know all the good things you do for the Center that go beyond the minimum expectations
in your position. But we do learn much about the quality of Center life through the many positive
reports from users of the Center and our direct observations of the Center and many of its activities.
We hear about and see some of the results each time we visit.
Certainly, the welcoming ambience of the Senior Center speaks well for your work. We notice, for
example, the clean and inviting physical facility, the pleasant greetings and valuable assistance provided
to visitors at the office and throughout the building, the excellent and widely-respected meal service,
the effective arrangements of rooms and equipment to offer varied programs in several configurations,
the multiple activity offerings each week, the level of interest shown by staff for improving Center
operations, and the happy mode that permeates the Senior Center. The current Center is, of course,
the product of many staff members over a long period of time. Some have retired or moved on, and
we also honor them for their contributions. And we know we are fortunate to have you carrying on a
fine tradition in service to our senior citizens.
On behalf of our Carlsbad seniors, we thank you.
