1. Remove and replace, wood walking
deck with garage below. Like for like,
replacements structural members due to
dry rot damage to existing beams and
structural members. Same size and same
location repair/replacement, per structural
engineering plans, calculations and detail
specifications -framing approved (only).
2. Note:
a) replacement of existing wood walking
deck metal wrought iron guard railing to
existing deck, does not meet current
building code guard rail height
requirements. Guard rail must be 42"
inches high.
b) informed contractor representative Eric.
Eric responded that he spoke to Jason
building official at public counter and Jason
said existing 36" high guard rail is adequate
for exterior second level deck repair
replacement guard rail work, for wood
walking deck 30" inches above grade.
