regarding the upstream manhole rim elevation and finished floor elevation.
I For backwater valve review, please show the upstream sewer manhole rim and
finished floor elevations. CPC 710.0
• Mandatory: Fixtures installed on a floor level below the next upstream
manhole cover require backwater protection.
2. The building sewer is shown to be 6". Per CPC, the aggregate cross-
sectional area of all vents must equal the cross-sectional area of the
building sewer size connecting into the public sewer. Please specify if any
other roof top penetrating vents are located within the building in addition
to the 4" vent within the bathroom. I Please review the prosed vent sizing for
the entire building. For each drainage piping system connected to the public
sewer that is vented by one or more vent pipes, the combination of the cross-
sectional area of all vents that terminate through the roof cannot be less than the
cross-sectional area of the largest waste pipe in the drainage system (in this

design requirements of CMC 304.3.1.1 . Please provide City approval for use of
an outside ladder.

6. Describe the method of compl iance for temperature limitations for the following
fixture types: public use lavatories (limited to 110 degrees/ Energy Standards
11 0(c)(3) and (bathtubs, bidets, and showers (120 degrees/CPC 408.3, 409.4).
Note: The water heater thermostat may not be used for compliance.
7. Sheet P1 .1 appears to show a MPG line. Specify if anything under this permit is
powered by natural gas. If so, please provide the gas sizing calculations using
the proper CPC 1216.2 Table, total developed length, and gas demands. If MPG
system is to be used, detail the gas regulator requirements: an accessible shut-
off valve installed prior to the regulator and vented to the exterior. CPC

8. Hot water recirculating loop system, please show the required air release valve
